Sounds a bit obscure for the average human Regalman. :) I do dread to think what will happen if it is there and this hunt continues on into next week. Thus, for the sake of the kiddies, let's find it before the end of the weekend!
AW...I'm not knocking your clue interpretations...as a matter of fact I think they sound good. But I am just saying that the medallion hider takes common sense into consideration when placing this thing and children and traffic are two he definitely keeps in mind.
Isn't it true that they have someone watching the location to see if it is found, so as to know whether or not the person is stalling to get newspaper clippings or a button?
Theres no need to be watching for whoever finds it. The person who finds it wants the $$$$$$....they go to the PP and turn it in. Why would there be a reason to watch?
I was told that there is spotters because if there is a problem on who really found the medallion first, the spotters are there to clear things up. Plus, I heard a few years back somebody tried to attack somebody with the medallion, and 2 guys on snowmobiles came out of nowhere.

The paradox of spotters is that supposedly only a couple of people know where its hidden. Yet if there are spotters, then they must know too, and there would have to be at least three of them working in shifts. I was thinking earlier that maybe the spotters work for the parks department and they watch all the major parks people dig in just to make sure they aren't destroying the park. Although the one guy I saw who I thought was a spotter was looking at only one spot, the spot where the treasure ended up being.
thanks leah! I kinda knew the deadline was today, and that is why I waited sooooooo long! OH well, this goes out to all the procrastignating hunters out there.
Ok Allison, I was sold on Highland but thanks to you, I am now thinking of the possibility of Valley. But like you said- the only thing that doesn't fit is all the kids around. So where is this place again?
Valley is kind of behind the Capitol, but over about half a mile. Its on University and Jackson. If you go east on University, go behind the Capitol, go to the second stoplight after that which has no streets labeled, and that should be Jackson. Its also where Regoin's Hospital is. Turn left there and go one block and take the first right turn and there it is by Franklin Elementary (aka Franklin Magnet).
Mulder, it's because St Agnes has Latin masses, and the view is great from West Minehahah park.(sarcasm) Fits in there just like 5 other parks, so take your pick!!!

Ok, I'm going now.
The man of mettle could be clark kent (superman) and Marydale is on kent ave!
When someone finds it.....when do they alert the public?
Actually regg man, Kent runs into the park but is blocked by a gas station. Def. makes sense though
They alert you when the news is on basically, they have a number you can call to see if it is founf, usually listed by clue in PP

Valley is what newell was to Conway if you ask me!
Isn't it true that they have someone watching the location to see if it is found, so as to know whether or not the person is stalling to get newspaper clippings or a button?
Allisons capiol idea has got me thinkin
mncheetah....there is only one person that knows where it is and it would be impossible for him to keep track of everything.
Inspector - how do you know that?
yeah and that one person is probably chatting with us everyday
Actually, inspector, it would be quite easy
I read a story about the guy a couple years back and how the PP handles the hunt.
Regg...hows that?
Yeah, why couldnt he perch himself up on a platform\hill, etc... With binoculars or something?
WHAT IS EVERYONE'S FAVORITE PARK RIGHT NOW
"the legend of the spotter"
mncheetah...you can't be serious....when would the poor chap sleep??
WE GOT MARYDALE, MLK, BATTLE, AND WHAT ELSE?
In a van...down by the river
One guy from the press could dig around the medallion location keeping an eye on anyone getting close
2 people could swich off day and night
Theres no need to be watching for whoever finds it. The person who finds it wants the $$$$$$....they go to the PP and turn it in. Why would there be a reason to watch?
Because they get more $$$$$$$ if they have all of the clue clippings from the paper and a button
I would like to know how many of our employers are paying us to sit here and noodle
The button has nothing to do with it...that had to be registered by today (25th)....and the clippings you can get every day in the newspaper
I really don't think anyone from the pp is there, it would be too risky

Leah...they are paying us too much to sit here and noodle...*grin*

ya and they are all trained in some sort of martial arts - For our protection of course.
Check back later....time to get back to work
I think I'll register my button today. What do you think?
make sure you get to post office before they close Tim- it has to be postmarked by today

We should all go out tonight and try and spot the spotters! I bet we all end up looking at one another. Spotters....pshaw....
I was just for a walk at Marydale and a film crew asked me if I was a spotter. I must look suspiciuos
just curious doues anyone need a digging partner- my husband thinks I'm during this time of the year
sure there are spotters, in fact I am one.

a valley is a large depression
Just joined the conversation. I was just rereading the clues and am wondering why they used Latin in the first clue. Any ideas?
Sounds like I'll be going to Valley at 6 if anyone wants to join me then.
I'll be there with my 5year old daughter
allison- I may go cruisin, just to see what I can see. I'll look for ya if I do, if not, I'll probably see ya another time
although ad infinitum is latin it is a well used phrase look for a ongoing collection of things(ad infinitum) in a fettle
