Cluemaster is getting it. I suppose if a number is involve in the clue, it could pertain to the zone at Como.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:32 PM Permalink
ares

circular file? dang. there's that word again.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:32 PM Permalink

Haven't heard from the donut man this year.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:33 PM Permalink
StepDogg

wolf - thats interesting, but only people with "the guide" would benefit from that. Or are the zones listed elsewhere?

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:33 PM Permalink
regman

I think it is at Como

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:33 PM Permalink

not necisarily a number, just something that points me to the general area

I just figured out that a park that big might be broken down. Have no idea one zone from the next.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:35 PM Permalink
ares

I was out scouting, ok? it's been quite a while since i've even been at como (statue photography excluded, but it didn't count since there wasn't any snow there, and the trees still had leaves on them) and given that i was an idiot and parked by the main zoo entrance. well, it was nice (and needed) exercise anyway.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:35 PM Permalink
ares

ok, who thinks they're a medallion god, now? there's only one of me.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:36 PM Permalink

oh, and scribe, i am an extraordinary hunter. don't you read anything? :)

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:37 PM Permalink
regman

I am now putting Como over Hidden Falls

What would be people's reasons for ruling out Phalen? I was just there and it seems like almost all the clues fit-if applied loosely.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:37 PM Permalink
Scribe

Ares, son, listen to me,you really didn't figure snow to be at Como? You are a disgrace, you should always have somethin in your trunk during the hunt.Weren't you at the basic training course????

Hello again.

Sorry I had to jump out without answering your question Ares. Wonderful DSL provider decided to have issues on one of the most important nights of my life(the posting of clue 7). Anyway issue resolved without having to make a nasty call to the provider. I don't know how I would have calmly explained that I really need to be on by midnight so that I could see the clue or else I would go insane.

Thank goodness it didn't have to come to that.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:37 PM Permalink
StepDogg

Shar - that's the problem...we can apply these clues to ANY park!!

Ares, are you and jr. gonna have a duel in the frog pond???:)

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:39 PM Permalink
ares

junior, i'm flattered that you want to be me, but do ya think you could at least do the following:

1) impersonate my typing style and my choice spellings when the opportunity should present itself. 2) realise that i've had como over hidden falls for somewhere around 24 hours, now.

Phalen's MAN OF METTLE has me baffled.

Ares - I don't even remember my question from this afternoon. Too many questions today, I can't even keep it all straight.

Reggman - I am having similar trouble. The only circular I think of is disc, but I think you already knew it. Also, I couldn't get yesterday's or today's clue to fit well, so now I don't know what to do tomorrow.

Ares, will now take a break due to an untimely identity crisis

HEY!!! I've GOT IT!! The Tinman in The Wizard of Oz sang these words in his song... "when a man's an empty kettle he should be on his "mettle" and yet I'm torn apart... just because I'm presumin' that I could be kinda human if I only had a heart". By gollie... we need to all go dig in the EMERALD CITY.... just follow the yellow brick road! Hahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa .... tee hee.... :-P

Scribe, I think you and Allison have a real duel here, are you gonna pick side for the cOmO and failing teams?

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 10:42 PM Permalink
SharR42

OD, try this. On the Carl Neid bridge you can see 3M (fettle=Mining), or he's a man of great mettle, or as a politician one who mettles. There are two (duel) bridges. The stage in the "depressed" area. A park (smile on your face) on the hill. What do you think?

jokysu, that's why i still have a dial-up account at the u to back up my dsl :)

scribe, that depends on how well junior behaves and what his intentions are here. from the looks of it he reveres us, so i guess it's ok. and what's this course i hear about? you didn't have that at the gig at mcg's didja?

junior, please don't prove me wrong. i can get kinda cranky:)
