Oakdale woman finds medallion in Como Park A pre-school teacher from Oakdale has won this year's Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt. Cathi Hogan returned the medallion to the Pioneer Press offices this morning, and she is expected to claim the full $10,000 prize.
"It is an answer to prayer," said Hogan, who found the medallion this morning in Como Park. Hogan said she grew up searching for the medallion each year, and that she was inspired this year by meeting three other people who had found the medal in previous years.
The Pioneer Press is planning an 11:30 a.m. news conference.
I best get something done around this house while I have the day to do it.
Also gotta noodle what to bring to the rehash bash on Sunday. I was soooo sold on the bridge thing down near Churchill. Maybe something bridging? What would that be? Gotta think about that.

And at least it was found before everything froze over in the pending ice storm. Can you imagine - we all would have had to go out there with ice chisels.

From what I've gathered, it was found in the West Picnic Grounds near the shelter and mini golf.
medalion found in: dove soap box wraped in a iron man sock,off the path from horton ave oposite side of the rest room
