2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Has anyone thought about maybe an ice rink..."look for a place with lots of space to amuse a tiny tot", "we devised ways to make it tough"

clue master - i agree we (the littlebiggs crue) over analyzed them ourselves but due to the lack of snow and the short hunts last two years maybe he/she (the clue writer) wants to drag it out? who knows the clues can fit many parks but i cant go with the buried in snow bit beacues theres only a half inch of the stuff.

Here are some thoughts for the lunch crew:

Sylvan has several auto salvage yards nearby. Hendon Triangles is a diamond-shaped park.

Fri, 01/25/2002 - 11:13 AM Permalink
Jim Casper

Okay wait hold on now htis is a question Ihave. "before we ever hid this jewel....We devised ways to make it tuff" did the winter carnival do anything in any parks or make any changes to St.Paul this summer or since last year anyway? anyone rememebr hearing anything about this? I know this is onfusing. dont have to answer jsut tell me if you understand what i am saying

I don't understand Casper...just maybe some NEW parks. And yes, I have thought of ice rinks.....

Jenny Hall

Marie it also indicates that you may be wasting your time if you are going up and down hills

I am doing real good! I will be hunting with snowwhite deathly red, and Dug

Terry

Perhap that part of the clue refers to the lack of snow until just a week before the hunt began...and they had to devise ways to hide it without or with little snow cover.

Marie Smith

Jenny....totally agre with you about the hill bit, maybe it is at a park with minimum or no hills.....

Phalenfinders …

I think you are right Marie

Fri, 01/25/2002 - 11:15 AM Permalink

That was my thinking, too Terry. In the past, they've had it attached to weeds, frozen in some ice......
