abotu 3 hours before I can go look for a little bit. Too bad I have some wednesday night activities to attend to, I'll only be able to look for an hour, then I'll haveta wait until 8pm. if it's out past then it'll be a long night :)
Most raptors in the wild build nests. The don't live in any type of "house".
I'm very certain there are no raptor nests at Como. And if I, Eagle Eye, hear of anyone messin' with a raptor nest, they will answer to me!!!
Raptors are known as one of nature's "garbage collectors" as they are not good prey due to weak talons, and they feast on dead carcasses that have been opened by other "diners".
A better possible interpretation of this clue, if indeed is not just a word used to make the clue rhyme, is that it may be near, on or under a garbage receptacle.
I heard there was a pic posted on one of the sites that had a tree at Como with an owl carved in it. I can't confirm this, I heard from a hunter out at Como today.
It was hard to find any ground that had not already been raked over in them thar' woods. I have a feeling tonight's clue isn't going to be utra-specific. Like it might tell us to line up this landmark with that one, but I don't think it will be like 20 paces to the west of the big oak tree. What do y'all think? Anybody have any special strategy for tonight?
Yup, feelin better enough. I was out today for a while, had my 4-year-old with and he had a blast. Everyone was telling him he was gonna find the treasure. I asked if he knew what we were looking for and he said "a gold coin", so I had to explain, no, it's probably gonna look like garbage. so he picks up an empty beer bottle and says "I found the treasure!"
GreenTeam: The way this hunt's goin, I'm bettin the last clue isn't going to point it right out.. Definately put it in reach of someone, but you know, the more I think of it, the less I think they'll probably pinpoint it much on the last clues anymore, too many people out at the parks with cell phones listenin for the clues. I think the PP would try to level the playing field as much as possible so everyone had the same chance.
The last clue willprovide *all* of the details. Including steps or paces, or whatever word they choose. It's how one deciphers the description. But it will be exactly where the last clue describes it. So it's going to be such a frantic rush to the spot. I wouldn't doubt there's going to be havoc. I hope nobody gets hurt! :(
I've got a Girl Scout meeting tonight . . . . other wise I'd be heading south. Probably after the meeting, if the medallion hasn't been found.
Slim: had a nice time last night meeting you too! Lost everyone in the mad dash. I really didn't dig too long. I'm not much of a nite digger. Cute story about your 4yo! What a doll!
Are you going to the re-hash? I know you mentioned it. I think I will.. but I'll have to see!
Okay, I knowyou guys don't like to give up your WebX fun, but the traffic to the live chat site is getting higher and higher and people are having a great time. If you're just waiting and want to noodle in real time, instead of clicking back and forth, just click on the link. There're about 20 people that are talking about, and I guarantee it will get more exciting as the night winds up. It's a lot of fun and thoughts and ideas go forth a lot quicker.
Just got back from a day at Como, i need to recharge now. I'm not going out until after the clue tonight. And I thought last night's rush was bad, tonight will be much worse
fire ring.. good idea

Hey congrats to Scribe for making the E-fishwrap.

I think the vulture part might be zone 2-I don't have my book with me but there is somthing over there like a bird sanctuary or somthing.
Guess then they'll just haveta say where, I thought the woods west of the pool were gettin pretty thoroughly searched.
