The cooler crew is an online community that is made up of folks with a commonality
that involves gathering in parks in the dead of the winter and because we have this
obsession in common, we find other parts of us that have commonality too. - TerryV
Who goes to a picnic in February?
The Re-Hash Bash is always open to all Diggers, Hunters, Clue-Writers and Lurkers. Discuss the Medallion Hunt, and have a good time with those of like obsession. It's a great time! The Re-Hash Bash is a family affair. Spouses and kids (even toddlers) are more than welcome! Come early, stay late and eat, then eat some more. It's a potluck deal. It really is a fun time. It helps bring closure to the hunt for the year.
Another fantastic get together!

The CoolerHeads are a group of people who participate in the
Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt during Winter Carnival .
The Bash began in 1998 at Cherokee Park. It is always on the Sunday after the Medallion is found, and is held at the location where it was found. The link above is where all the clues were analyzed (over-analyzed !), accepted, rejected, discussed.
What you need to bring.....

I forgot it at home.
I'm a doofus bo bo.
Thats great!
Would you like that on your hat instead of THX 1138?
We turned around and went back to get ours so the stern controller wouldn't have anything bad to say about us.Â
I am a doofus bo bo too. Not sure what that is, but I like saying it.
Can someone tell me how to insert pictures here? Do I have to have them on a web page first?

NO!
Just cuz I'm a Doofus Bo Bo, doesn't mean I want it advertised.

You can upload them as an attachment. They have to be smaller though. I think the max size is 640 X 480.
Thanks, I'll give it a try!
Dawg forgot our name tags of course she is blaming me LOL

DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!
Something to wear to the PDG perhaps......
I'll take orders around November. :-)
I get it...so that is the new cooler crew logo....
Thought as this hunt ends, it would be nice to recognize the hard work some put into all this to be sure we can noodle, dig, search and rehash. Thank you all for your hard work and talent.Â
I suspect that you enjoy the work you do, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get some kudos now and again for these thankless tasks.
THX - aka the Stern Controller for taking control of this forum at People's Forum. Where would we be without that controller?!?Â
Ares - webmaster and caretaker of coolercrew.com. Without someone to care for this website of ours, our history would be lost. The site is obviously a resource, but perhaps, more importantly, its the Cooler Crew's history. Ares is also working on having somewhere else for us to meet up to discuss clues if People's Forum disappears. Ares has also captured the old Water Cooler boards from the Pioneer Planet.
Marley King and Artemis the Huntress for King's Common for pictures of the parks during hunt time. Especially good for early clue noodling.  Also for co-caretaking of www.coolercrew.com
The Map Guy aka Steve Worthman for his Treasure Hunter's Guide and accompanying website with photos. For years we hunted without it, but a better resource for St. Paul parks is not to be found anywhere else.
Mr. Med Hunter aka Jesse Aibas for his new book, Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt History and website. So much knowledge to share!
OTS - for Coolertimes where we can all see what we look like, many resources in one place and live chat.Â
Thanks to the Cooler Crew for making us feel at home with real friends.
May this feeling only grow stronger.
This is my 3rd year with the crew... and I have to say by far this is the most memorable :) There's so many thank you's that to say em all would take me forever... so I'm just going to say thank you to EVERYONE for making me feel so at home. I didn't do any digging this year for the puck, but I DID get the chance to get to know some of you a lot better, and I've made so many great friends. I know some times I can be a pain in the arse because I post too much... about stupid stuff.. and it maybe even boggs down the board, but at least U guys aren't afraid to say Hey... SHUT UP!!! :D U guys RAWK my SAWKS off!!
I don't know how many people tried the pineapple upside-down cake, but it was awesome. Totally prepared from scratch, at the fire pit. amazing
I just got home!
I found:
One grey polar fleece glove, that has a black velcro strap on the wrist.
and One Black polar fleece headband.
One thing can be said for sure:Â The cooler crew never goes away hungry!
We had a great time at the bash today. Thank you to all for your concern when we couldn't find Natalie. The scariest thing to me, is that the whole thing didn't seem to phase her in the least!
Can you believe the kids made me fix them something to eat for dinner?! UGH! I don't even want to look at food for awhile.
Here's one more picture. Wish I knew how to make 'em show up in the message, but this'll do for now.
Who are those hot chicks?
JOE
Who are those hot chicks?
just a couple Cooler Crew Chicks, sharing a bottle.
:-)
Grr, baby! Grr!
Nice meeting everyone again today, to some of ya, see ya next year, and to others, see ya around.
yep. i have to say it was so nice meeting everyone! i've been coming to the boards since the hunt of 2000. i've been way more active in the last year or two. so i've seen a lot of you around here and there, in line, etc. but i must say it was wonderful finally putting a lot of faces to names!
next time i'll wear a nametag. i forgot! SCRIBE: how can i rangle me one of them there hats sometime. if there's a group making some, i'll put in an order too!
hopefully i'll pay attention around here BEFORE hunt time next year. someone mentioned something about a summer picnic? don't leave me out! put me on some mailing list or something. (do we have one of those set up? i know someone who could do that for us if anyone wanted one.)
my email is erica@oriongirl.com. use it!

It was good to see you again, Oriongirl. E-gram me and I'll set you up with the super secret folks that make the hats. ....but don't tell anybody, it's super secret.:)
We will be in touch for the picnic at THX's shed.

We will be in touch for the picnic at THX's shed.
?? ? ?? Did I miss something?
Or are only the ultra-über folks invited?
In an effort to continue the fun community and fellowship that we all experienced at the RHB, I'll be hosting a poker night at the bear cave on Saturday the 19th. I'm envisioning about a 20 buck-night if you're a horrible player; a nickel-dime-quarter kind of a thing.
First 8 people to RSVP to me either in e-mail (my e-mails posted at coolertimes) or egram gets a seat. All are welcome, for the most part.

Yet another great year.
