The Re-Hash Bash is always open to all Diggers, Hunters, Clue-Writers and Lurkers. Discuss the Medallion Hunt, and have a good time with those of like obsession. It's a great time! The Re-Hash Bash is a family affair. Spouses and kids (even toddlers) are more than welcome! Come early, stay late and eat, then eat some more. It's a potluck deal. It really is a fun time. It helps bring closure to the hunt for the year.

The CoolerHeads are a group of people who participate in the
Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt during Winter Carnival .
The Bash began in 1998 at Cherokee Park. It is always on the Sunday after the Medallion is found, and is held at the location where it was found. The link above is where all the clues were analyzed (over-analyzed !), accepted, rejected, discussed.
What you need to bring.....
- Bring a dish to share: dessert, salad, hot dish, whatever you like.
- Bring your own drinks.
- Bring your own plates, cups and utensils.
- There will be a fire. logs are needed !
- Check the forecast, but come prepared for "changing" weather.
- There have been gas stoves and charcoal grills in the past.

I would guess Ian would be the person to really ask. Flaherty's is really one of the nicer (flashy? - heard that was kind of important! Hee!) ones. Very clean and bright anyway.Â
LA mom- do you mean the one in the basement at Midway Center? I haven't been there for years, but used to go when I was dating my husband like 100 years ago.
There's also Sunray, Minnehaha Lanes, one on South Robert that I can't remember the name of. Those are ones that come to mind....
The last time I was at the Midway Bowl, I thought it had gone downhill....but that's been awhile.Â
I always liked Minnehaha Lanes. And that's in the hood. :-)

flathery's is just a teeny bopper hangout if you ask me....
Flaherty's is okay.... Minnehaha lanes, is alright, too, as far as I recall.... theres also wells-fargo lanes, on concord blvd, in south st. paul, but they've been getting crappier, every time Ive been there... one of my moms leagues actually just switched from there to  Drakula's (sp?), and she seems to like the place...... maplewood bowl, is decent.... probably my fav, would be Cedarvale, out in Eagan... but I dont know if thats too far, from everyone.... hell... theres even a bowling place, in the MOA...
I miss Hafners, though... dammit.

oh yeah... i completely forgot about West Side lanes.... we used to do kareoke there, back in the day.
I'm not so sure I would be able to do this stuff just because of the schedule. Maybe once I know the times and locations I can say for sure.
I mean ... damn.. now I have to get a cooler crew bowling shirt and one of those clear balls with the Medallion inside it!

looks like bowling works for most- This would be probly planned so not to beon the same night as any other bowling leagues-this would be Cooler Teams playing Cooler Teams -so you would need to come up with Cooler Team names. I will be on the team that has the coolerest name-hahaha
first off though I need to find a day that works best all around-then take down names of everyone who want to participate. Figure out teams and team names- figure how much each person has to pay (Ian? help here...you know probly what this costs adding a little extra for prizes/cooler trophies!)...

my choice was rejected because of teenyboppers ... i thought we were looking for a quality, welcoming host with possible discounts, and a place to BOWL
without doing any checking, my guess is we need a minimum of four teams with 4 or 5 bowlers, and maybe a sub list.

I found a grey fleece glove with a velcro strap around the wrist, and a black fleece headband. Please ask around if these belong to someone we know.
I found that glove in the woods :) thought it might be someones but it could have been anybodys that was hunting in the park previously.

No, I haven't seen them yet. My upsyairs 'puter cannot get them, and I've been too lazy to go downstairs. Actually, I've been down with that icky flu for 2 days.
Err- I'm still all for capes & tiaras.
I still have the nametags. Totally spaced on bringing them to the rehash.
I'm not big on darts. In fact, I'd say I'm rather dangerous when I have them. My goal is generally just to try and hit the board and not look too silly. Bowling I'm a little better at, but not great. I generally hope to hit triple digits and rarely get too much more than that.
As for bowling alleys, my favorite has always been Park Tavern, but that's way out west in St. Louis Park. I went with Trent once to one by Sunray on McKnight. It was pretty nice, but not cheap. I wasn't too fond of the Midway bowl. The Mermaids ok, but they can be kind of funny about making reservations. I haven't tried a lot of the other places.
That said, I'm not sure how often I could make it out anyway. My schedule between my singles club and other things is taking up just about all my nights and weekends. Maybe I could be a sub on days I am available. And it seems Me2 is going to be a sub also since she needs a little dominance :-P
