Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available.
Recent Clues:
Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes
To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched
Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey
Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet

Where swatters of orbs are beckoned

Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem

And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice

Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot

Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek

Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray
Well, I'm off my rocker, I fell out of my tree
I've been standin' on shaky ground
There's no helping me, yeah
I can't remember my number
I can't remember your name
I can't remember all the trouble I'm in, child
(Chorus)
Well, I'm insane (repeat)
You don't go looking for trouble
Well, I'm all the trouble you need
You don't go looking for bad love
You got it guaranteed, yeah
I can't see no colors
I can't play your games
I should've listened what my momma said, child
(Chorus)
I'm insane (repeat)
Solo
You lock me up in a padded room
Chain me to the floor
Well, I'm headed for lobotomy
And I'm beggin' them for more
That sounds about right
Just got back from running errands. Took a drive through IM to see if the spotter was there today. Someone's parked there, but different vehicle. :ooh:
And shut up! I was out that way anyway. :sheepish:
Yeah. Rite. How tall is Soucheray?
Two guys started out at a far hole, not #1, and said they'd been there 10 mins when I asked how long they'd been in the park. I asked them if they were on vacation and they said, "Sorta." Asked how Holes 1-X went for them and they said they didn't do them, started with the one they were on... Asked them where they worked and they waved off west and said, "Over there."
Very suspicious. Was going to go back and grill them some more and figured maybe it wasn't the safest thing to do...
So, if you [guys at Central] don't get "No Lexington" for "Don't revolt," what do you get? And what do you get for "come on down" for crying out loud?
Come on down anagrams to Down en Como :worried:
First letter of each line of Clue 7 anagram to Do it!
things not found: the ^&%^& medallion.
Am I the only person that got Rice Street for "come on down"?
channel the bard, smell sweet - avon, rose place?
swatters of orbs - pass the ball fields
beckon - signal lights?
clue four? - beats me... (no cell phones at church?)
over hill and dale - pass beyond dale, handy locating device - sextant
fulfill wishes - aladdin, loaves and fishes - pop church, victory on ice - brooks or victoria?
fam singer - bennett, diamond dinger - fisk
whites of eyes - central
convenient plot - colon plot event anagram (really bored..) main part of story?
meek - meek as mouse or lion hearted? lion shelter?
any thoughts?
I thought it was a good noodle. But then I always think my noodles are good!

1. snowmommy and the son that had the folding shovel a few years ago. He's now an adult kid and wishing his mom would quit talking about that shovel.
2. A really cute yellow lab named Woody.
3. Lots of rocks
4. Lots of snow
5. Lots of everything but the medallion.
Oh! And I DUG up something sweet! A Kit-Kat bar! Actually dug it up! Very cool.
I still like my cell-less noodle for Como.
Too bad I can't make that fit anywhere in Roseville.
But our lab is a whole new game and we are sure enjoying him. He's smart enough to get into trouble and smart enough to get out of it again.
of course he wasn't nearly the beaut that our tri, nadia is. didn't have a full mane. on the other hand, he had that perfect collie demeanor.
Your pups are beautiful, ares.
I'll never get through all of them. :frown:
Aren't the boards from previous hunts archived and locked or something??
I've got "Discuss The Clues" showing there.
And, at this point the PP boards have become worthless, which is a shame.
I think I got this because I am on the list at Winter Carnival headquarters from trying to be a Tax Collector last year. From Kate Kelly:
Governor's Radio Show - Live from Harriet Island!
Join us at Harriet Island on Friday, February 2nd from 9 am - 10 am for live broadcast of the Governor's Radio Show on 830 WCCO Radio.
Be part of the live Winter Carnival audience in the Hiway Federal Credit Union Hot Dish Tent. If you do not have a parking permit, the password to enter the West parking lot is "Radio Show", which will allow you access from 8:30 am - 10:30 am.
Came around the corner into the kitchen and thought some guy had come into get me!
It was my Hunting snowsuit hanging up...
Christ. My heart won't quit pounding.
