me2--found the 2nd prize in Irvine Park
Thank you redbear for a great hunt!!!
So I'm pretty excited!
If I go out looking for the other one?? its missing???
come look in my front yard
omg...no!!!
Just down the street from you too. Awesome!
Where in the park did you find it?
half of us can guess and then have a bear confirm your guess!!!!
I don't like the early clue idea...all it does is confirm you guess...
and is Skyview park the same as Grandview?
I thought Skyview was IGH
touch base with me tomorrow kitch- I will be in and out of the office -

I'm open to suggestion as to fairness. Nobody knows anything that hasn't been posted here.
but...its not fair to CONFIRM the park they have been looking it...
...but I guess If I tell you the park I've been looking it....and then you come back and tell me NO....
I just elimated my OTHER GUESS...
personally its wrong both ways....
But if other people feel this way I"ll just call the other off then.
I just see issues...
Probably not, Bear. I filled a lovely plastic purse with little treasures I thought would interest someone in the future. :goofy:
I'm not sending in where I've been...
I'm not going to be upset....
Here's the larger version
and I need a camera!!!
HEHE
The TV itself is very nice OT. You should come over and watch it sometime.
goodnight everyone -
There's no way that I can make everybody happy.
There's no way I can ensure any semblance of fairness.
Someone will bitch no matter what I do.
So I see no reason for me to put out my tickets when I'm going to get shit for it later.
Even if I hide something in the same place in the morning someone once it's found someone will come up with a bullshit story that that's where they were looking and demand the prizes.
Even if I call it off and say where I was someone will say that's where they were looking and demand the prize.
So, I'm just going to shut the B hunt down, call the game on account of the ball going over the fence, whatever.
Sorry gang. But there's no way it can be fair anymore and given the level of intensity that I know people will complain and cry foul, I don't see any way I can run this in a fair way.
down a raft not far away
     'twas a plan so bold,
     took 12 days to unfold
that the legend be kept to stay
12 day hunt that both were focused on parks in the river valley.
#2A - Ok, ok, you're needing a place
to outwit the rest, to headstart the race
the suspects are usual, the folly is lark
two places, two pucks, a st paul park
I don't capitalize St. Paul, which is about as interpretative as I can get to get it out of being a proper name and a descriptor instead, so you look for "A st. paul park" instead of a St. Paul park. But there are four St. Pauls - St. Paul, WSP, NSP, and SSP.
#3A - A moose named Dixie and a caribou named Billy
walk into a Tavern. One says to the bartender:
"Hey, can you play War?" The other says "what
is it good for?" The wise bartender says "Civil,
One, two or a police action - information, that's what."
Billy, Dixie and the Tavern are all on Grand. the bartender tells you that Civil and police actions are north/south battles, which gets you out of St. Paul proper.
#4A - The horny animals of the Serengetti
      Generally travel in packs.
And to properly determine where the treasure lies,
      Bring along some snacks.
The bounty is hidden under two rhinos packed together in the playground.
#5A - Mines of Mordor, Man can see
For miles and miles cross the valley
The unblinking eye, of course burns red
To get near it, you might be dead
3 capital M = 3M. The difference is "unblinking" as the 1st bank 1 blinks on and off.
#6A - He saw the gilded weathercock
Swim in the moonlight as he passed,
And the meeting-house windows, black and bare,
Gaze at him with a spectral glare,
As if they already stood aghast
At the bloody work they would look upon.
Longfellow's "Ride of Paul Revere" gets you Lexington and Concord streets, Lexington and Grand in St. Paul gets you a Blockbuster, Concord and Grand in South St. Paul gets you Grandview park.
#7A - Henry the 8th, you was you was
after taking the ride of another
      Hang two in the tower,
      One doesn't count, brother,
To warn all the people below
Paul Revere reference again - the church across the street you hang 2 in the belfry for the valley to see. Revere reference gets you Concord st. again.
#8A - You know, everywhere we go, people ask
"How come you never do anything Nice?
      "and easy?"
So we're going to take the beginning of this clue
      and make it nice
      and easy
Then we're going to make the second part of this clue
      Rough
Cause that's how we do when we roll
The spoken introduction to Tina Turner's version ot "Rolling on the River." At this point people aren't sure where it is so I tried to narrow it down to the River valley.
#9A - The Clintonesque stand, a slippery steed
means what you think is is, isn't indeed
Some things are true, depite rankled collars
Begin your search on the street of thousand dollars
The street of thousand dollars - Grand Avenue.
#10A - To try to understand these, it's harder than it looks
Open up your Jarhead and stop cracking the books
The darkness is falling, try hard to get un-stuck
The only sympathy here is: Good Night and Good Luck.
"JarHead" and Good Night and Good Luck" are the two movies playing at the Grandview Theater.
