Sorry Cluemaster. There's just no way I can disprove a potential lie, and so there's no way I can keep it going.

That's unfortunate. I really don't see one of us pulling that but who knows.

It's not so much that someone might pull it, CM, it's that they could conceivably already have checked the park from top to bottom after it was gone. That's not fair to that person if I just go hide another one and someone else picks it up.

I hear ya. I know that one could talk themselves into thinking they did actually look in the exact spot even if they didn't since they did look at everything else in the park. I know I could see myself thinking that I might have seen the one OT found even if I was no closer than where that picture was taken from. You never know if you would have really seen it or not.

Either way I save a DVD that I didn't have right now anyway since I didn't think this was going to be a double hunt when I said I'd donate the DVD. I still need to get to my brother's to make a few more for other hunts and things. My goal is that most of the crew will have obtained the little thing by the time the movie is released.

I can stop by your place anytime OT and drop your copy off. You gonna be home tomorrow?

So bear - if you are calling the second hunt - would you pretty please release the last clue and explain it for the rest of us to see??

I would have fought to find a way to let you know I had it.

I think you should just place another one and take the chance. I don't think anybody would seriouly say they would have found it, if they wern't there. And if they were in the right spot, they can go find it now, before the next clue.

yeah thats a bummer- I would just keep the hunt going- If the clues were written to make us think that the South St Paul hunt was St Paul AND with as many/few people searching I highly doubt anyone was in the right park yet.

I'd continue it out- I dont see anyone complaining now- unforseen crap happens during EVERY hunt! just work with it and trudge on.

I'll be home today. Going to be doing some cleaning for Thanksgiving and watching a grandson while his Mommy goes to the doctor.

Don't feel like you need to make a special trip if you don't make it today. I'm usually around. If you see my Jeep in the driveway, I'm here.

I just emailed my 117 children and told them about my prize. I'll let them sort it out. Although I did suggest that the two sons who have been rebuilding my garage for the past two weekends might be a good choice. :worried:

Big Slick is emptying the corporate prize cabinet and found two passes to the NASCAR silicon motor speedway at the Mall of America to give to OT too.

Been thinking about this most of the morning.

I'm still convinced that nothing I can do will make everyone satisfied.

What I am willing to do is to hide something else, post the last two clues, but for no prizes. I just don't feel comfortable with giving out prizes when people could concievably say that they got the park earlier and cry foul since there wasn't anything to find.

So, one remaining hunt, for pride and country...anyone have a problem with that?

I don't care about the prize either.

Although the initial news stories mentioned only that Cass Elliot had "choked on a sandwich", by the next week reports were listing a "ham sandwich" as the fatal meal. This extra detail was most likely an embellishment added by the public as a sick commentary on her weight. (A rumor of choking to death on food establishes the "glutton killed by his gluttony" image, and claiming the food was a ham sandwich drives home the point by introducing a reference to pigs.)
