For the record I decided a while back that people posting on here would be the ones with profile blocks.

Why? Because for those of you who have noticed the avatars on there are hot linked to Ableminds.

What purpose does it serve to show someone a face, picture and avatar of a person not posting on the boards?

I've been moving so many things on coolertimes that his name simply got forgotten to be added to the list at the bottom.

Of course a simple email or egram would have fixed it. But I can see how a little bit of drama in the middle of a hunt would be much more effective.....

Effective for what I'm not sure. But whatever it's purpose I hope it worked out for you.

well for whatever reason someone thought they had for deleting/editing bears post-it was just plain mean. I miss bear and its a bummer he had to feel excluded. How would you feel if someone did that to you?

If for some fluke reason it wasn't any of the moderators OR somehow an accident....

bottom line is that sometimes there are some of us who want to tell our friends something that is killing us inside. Sometimes its a struggle to show vulnerability. What happened when Bear reached out? Unless youve really felt this, don't dare mock it! There is a time for pushing buttons and goofing off - this wasnt one of those times.

the only ones that saw this phantom post are redbears friends, so maybe it said more than just cancer, if it was truely his last post and he was upset about his mom's cancer he could understandably vent some anger at people he didnt like. it is possible that it was deleted by mark or tim who occationally watch over the threads here.

I thought CoolerTimes pictures were for anyone Cooler Crew who wanted them up. I didnt know it was for only the people who post regularily. Thanks for clarifying that OTiS.

I dunno, I saw him take a parting shot at the cooler crew when he said we weren't worth the 10 bucks. To me, that's not a way I say I want to be a part of something.

It wasn't his last post. It was a day before his last post which was a result of the disregard given to his situation. Part of the reason for his not feeling welcome here.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I never saw the post.

The parting shots, as you call them, were a direct result of that disregard.

He never said anything about editing his posts anywhere.

Never heard anything about posts editing until yesterday.

Which is again why I asked... why is this being brought up now and not on January 4th when it occured?

I call shenanigans, there is no way it was there that long. Bottom line. Now if he felt bad because his post got deleted, now that's a different issue, but most people didn't see this mystery post you and the rest of the puck posse saw yet no one else did.

I didn't see it - only heard about it and recently talked to him and found out why he wasnt around -thats part of why it was brought up now-

we usually dont notice someone not around posting in the cooler for days on end before we realize theyre not here. Especially the ones that dont post on a daily basis.

I saw that part when I got home last night OT. I mean before yesterday. Nobody ever said anything about him having had an issue.

Can't address or fix or figure out things 3 weeks later when people have no idea something happened.

I never said that it was up for a day and a half. He doesn't sit here all day. He was confused that there were no posts regarding his post when he came back the next day and looked and it was gone. That's when he posted his last post.

If there was a cancer post mentioned by anyone in here, I'm positive there would be a flood of support responses. Where are any of these. I mean come on people. Our crew is a pretty understanding and thoughtful bunch. If one of us says we have a hangnail there's always plenty of support posts to follow. Where are these? Was it deleted right after it was posted? Did anyone comment on it? Didn't those who originally see it even comment?

I want to know where this occurred. I spend way too much time on here and don't claim to see everything posted but I think I would have seen something regarding somebody mother having cancer.
