Why not just give OT 4 tickets since she rocks and found the thing and also it makes her decision easier for which of the 117 get to go?

Congrats OT!!!!!

now for the really cooler news... I got a letter in the mail at work from a guy. I kept thinking the name looked familiar but I put it in my pile of 'ask the historian' questions and I would get to it... I got back to it today, still looking at the name that was bugging me. .... I brought the letter home to do some research that it requested... turns out it was written to me by Walter Trennery! the guy who wrote Murder In Minnesota!!! No kidding! that rocks!!!

I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!- I am placing the letter (with his signature) with my book after I answer it.

CREEQUE ALLEY

The Mamas & The Papas

(Phillips-Gilliam)

John and Mitchy were gettin' kind of itchy

Just to leave the folk music behind

Zal and Denny workin' for a penny

Tryin' to get a fish on the line

In a coffee house Sebastian sat

And after every number they'd pass the hat

McGuinn and McGuire just a-gettin' higher

In L.A., you know where that's at

And no one's gettin' fat except Mama Cass

Zally said "Denny, you know there aren't many"

"Who can sing a song the way that you do, let's go south"

Denny said "Zally, golly, don't you think that I wish"

"I could play guitar like you"

Zal, Denny and Sebastian sat (at the Night Owl)

And after every number they'd pass the hat

McGuinn and McGuire still a-gettin higher

In L.A., you know where that's at

And no one's gettin' fat except Mama Cass

When Cass was a sophomore, planned to go to Swarthmore

But she changed her mind one day

Standin' on the turnpike, thumb out to hitchhike

"Take me to New York right away"

When Denny met Cass he gave her love bumps

Called John and Zal and that was the Mugwumps

McGuinn and McGuire couldn't get no higher

But that's what they were aimin' at

And no one's gettin' fat except Mama Cass

Mugwumps, high jumps, low slumps, big bumps

Don't you work as hard as you play

Make up, break up, everything is shake up

Guess it had to be that way

Sebastian and Zal formed the Spoonful

Michelle, John, and Denny gettin' very tuneful

McGuinn and McGuire just a-catchin' fire

In L.A., you know where that's at

And everybody's gettin' fat except Mama Cass

Di-di-di-dit dit dit di-di-di-dit, who-o-oa

------ flute ------

Broke, busted, disgusted, agents can't be trusted

And Mitchy wants to go to the sea

Cass can't make it, she says we'll have to fake it

We knew she'd come eventually

Greasin' on American Express cards

It's low rent, but keeping out the heat's hard

Duffy's good vibrations and our imaginations

Can't go on indefinitely

And California dreamin' is becomin' a reality

stepped into a church I passed along the way well, I got down on my knees andI pretended to pray you know the preacher likes the cold he knows I'm gonna stay

#1 - Seven and one men sailed

down a raft not far away

     'twas a plan so bold,

     took 12 days to unfold

that the legend be kept to stay

A park along the river valley.

#2B - Marley was dead, was how one hunt started

but get the right tale, don't be downhearted

Dickens was good, but to find the bling

find the tail with the far far better thing

Far Far better thing is from "Tale of Two Cities" - so, Minneapolis or St. Paul.

#3B - True to fold, a stop sign laid down

Has eight sides and a building around

Behind a white wall, find your fare

In a small bag sits a small bear

Hidden in a plastic bag in the gazebo at Irvine park. This is a new clue since the original one told of it being hidden in a Chicago bulls toy basketball.

#4B - Time to get hunting, to start out and look

Getting into a park and out of a book

but before you go out, into the fray

An eastern field general leads your way

The Ramsey house is up the block. Ramsey is a QB for the Redskins. Gets you to St. Paul.

#5B - I hate to mix metaphors

       But I like football scores

And I've got a question for ye:

The moose says to the caribou,

"What is it I've in common with you?"

Both moose and caribou have: Four Paws.

#6B - Soo whee! Say the pigs

and the rockers with no gigs

who have no where else to go

      the Italians aint right,

just in case though, when you're there,

just to be safe - purse and blow

The Soo line railroad runs to the south of the park.

#7B - A different kind of game

For the man of the same name

If you start 20,000 leagues under

      For that is the tone,

      When looking for clones,

At 19 with beer and no blunder

Same name as Jules Verne that's a clone would be Verne Troyer, who as Mini me would play mini golf at the science museum near the park.

#8B - The holiday season is about to roll in

but don't let your spirits go fallin

Tis better to give, than to get burned

but if they gift wrong it can all be returned

If you don't like your gifts, you can EXCHANGE them. Exchange runs next to the park.

#9B - True to the matter, a street has been given

But kind of obscure, like comedy of David Niven

He's not all that funny, no need to talk smack

You might need ballet, it's a tough crack

If you had a ballet for help, you'd be able to Crack the nut of Walnut street, that runs right into the park.

#10B - A day like this, the sun isn't shining

It should be all sunny, and then there's no whining

Leave out the ham sandwich, Mamma Cass would agree

California Dreamin' is, today what you should be

California Dreamin - Irvine Park.

11B - Ponce De Leon, a Florida Gator

Tried looking like you did, so don't be a hater

It's right in the middle, then off to the side

the hanging garlands fill you with pride

Ponce De Leon searched for the fountain of youth, just like you searching for the fountain in the middle of Irvine Park.
