The conclusion is that apparently people cannot remember when and where exactly it was posted, so we have no leads to investigate what may have happened, as opposed to what happened with OT's post.

Well, I know when and where exactly I posted it, but in the absence of any sort of information as to where it went, or as to why it's not there anymore - I don't choose to make a bigger thing out of it or point fingers at anyone for removing it. Since it was my issue to begin with I'm choosing to let it go.

there was no post where you said there was, and that caused some issues here, so I think it's only fair to investigate this.

here's the deal, tim, we've done some investigation as moderators, and have discovered that, unlike at pf, when a post is deleted here, all the posts after it shift down their numbers and take its place (check out the screen snaps in the look and feel test folder), rather than showing up as a deleted post. this poses a dilemma for finding out who did the deleting of the original post. since the person who wass complaining about the missing post has decided not to do anything else about it, the moderators are also not going to spend time investigating it beyond what has been done. the matter is considered closed.

Redbear's missing post did bring up another issue, but that one has been dealt with. Redbear is fine with letting it die. Tim V could try finding it, but we don't have a good idea of where to send him looking, and is it really worth it?

number 1: I don't appreciate being called timmy by people that are not close to me. it's not my name and I would appreciate if you would refrain from calling me that.

number 2: I made a post in that thread a few days later saying all I had seen was good news and I got nailed to the wall for it, even though there was no post about his mom having cancer. Now you go back after the fact and pretend there was a post and it makes me look bad, and I don't like it. Anyone that was around knows it caused a lot of problems, and I just would like to find out what really happened. Either A) there was a post and it was deleted immediately and we need to make sure that doesn't happen again or :cool: there was never a post and this talk of a post is all made up

redbear knows exactly where it was and exactly when, it would take 3 minutes max

your getting nailed to the wall for your "good news" comment had nothing to do with a cancer post, tim. it had to do with your responding to him stating he wasn't going to pay to post here.

if you'd like to have this investigated further, i'd like to invite you to ask mr. timvasi to search through the server logs for it. the reality is that the original complainant no longer wishes the matter pursued, and as a result, we, the moderators of the cooler crew refugee camp will not be dealing with the matter. please drop the matter.

You were nailed to the wall because of the perception that some people have of you and the ambiguity of your post. People took that as you saying it was good news that he was leaving, nothing about the cancer stuff. But we've been over that. In my opinion the talk about there being or not being a post is not made for you to look bad. I know that Bear has an idea of when and where it was, but I can't really force him to give that information if he just wants to let things go.

Here is the issue, you continue to talk about this "cancer post" as if it happened, and it DID NOT happen. We have much evidence to suggest that it did not happen, such as no one seeing it happen, and no responses from anyone. Now if you want to move on, fine... move on, but as far as I'm concerned it did not happen. If you are going to continue to talk about this post like it really happened I think you should carry the burden of proving it happen because an anonymous person is carrying the blame for it being gone.

This is a serious issue to me and I think it is unfair to brush it away because Redbear wants it to be brushed away because it affected the entire crew, not just him.

yes, it affected the crew (at least those who chose to venture into this thread), but it sounds like what you want is for us to find a post that you claim never existed, that someone else claims did and got deleted, and that the latter person no longer cares about?

In my opinion it never existed, but you are carrying on like it did, even claiming you saw it. By saying that is existed and is no longer there, you/bear/whoever says it existed is pointing a finger at some unnamed person. That has been done, you can't take that back. Now, I sincerly doubt that this post ever existed, and am calling on the moderators to put in a little bit of effort and look into what happened here. Redbear claims he knows exactly when and where it was posted, so it should be easy to do. If he refuses to help you by providing this information, this claim has lost any credibility it ever had.

Tim, people involved have really decided to move on. You mention about people talking about it, but nobody was really talking about it until you brought the issue back up. It was yourself that brought it up when Redbear came back. It was about a week's time that had elapsed with really no discussion on the issue. You say that someone is pointing a finger at some unnamed person, yet you yourself is pointing someone else's words at yourself. We really are not blaming you or anyone else. People are just looking to go past it. The moderators have put some effort into looking for it. Ares has said that he's tried to find it or think of where it is. Tim Vasi is the one really who can find it in the system. Personally, I'm not saying anyone is responsible or even supsecting anyone is responsible.

TMK, you continue to look at this situation as if the only person involved was Redbear and I believe you are making a monumental mistake. The entire crew had been involved with this directly or indirectly.

I think it is wrong to make accusations whether they be direct or indirect and when you are called out on those accusations just decide you don't want to pursue it anymore. I think that this issue can easily be cleared up now that Redbear is back and can tell the mods where and when the post was exactly.

The Flavor Vats

One of the reasons Ben & Jerry's ice cream is so good can be explained with one word: Flavor. We take our flavors -- and our flavoring techniques -- very seriously. The folks who work the Flavor Vats are experts in the Fine Art of Flavoring, and they use only the best natural ingredients to flavor the mixes -- Ben & Jerry's never uses any artificial or chemical flavorings.

The Flavor Vats consist of four separate 300-gallon compartments. The compartments are linked by two's and are designated as companion vats for each production line (our Waterbury factory has 2 production lines). In other words, each production line is supplied with mix from its own set of companion vats. With this arrangement we can make two flavors of ice cream or yogurt at the same time during any or all of our daily Production shifts.

Each Vat has an agitator, a level sensor, an inlet valve, and two outlet valves. The agitators are used both for combining the flavors and retaining the consistency of the mix. Some of our recipes call for flavorings that can't be added directly to the Flavor Vats because they come to us in a powdered (rather than liquid) form. Powdered flavorings (such as powdered cookie dough) are dissolved in water in a machine called the liquefier which is located just outside the Flavor Vats. From here, the flavored solutions are injected into the flavor vats through the inlet valve.

After the correct proportions of natural flavorings are added at the Flavor Vats, the mix is pumped to a Hoyer Freezer through the Vats' outlet valves.

say, you missed a medallion hunt. it's this event that the pioneer press holds annually and it coincides with the st. paul winter carnival. it's pretty interesting actually. there is even this group of people that met on the internet that all love the medallion hunt and they have logos and events and everything.
