While taking a look around, you’ll see hazards abound And thus safety and common sense are important details Troubling I think it would be, if I should happen to see Legions of hunters wandering too far from the trails.
Might it be true, you’d like another clue? Solve then if you will my funny little riddle. How would you go? You’d drive to the park, no? Right you would be if you first look for the middle.
Clue #1
Because St. Paul is the place, flowing with heaps of park space, You may consider it smart to work together in pairs. For two heads keep better pace seeking out a treasure’s hidden place Or then again one person alone may spot the fourteen squares.
spoken like a redneck who spends too much time at the race track, how 'bout the dukes of hazzard. they do a dukes jump competiton down at raceway park.
North Dale is still under construction some - but I'm thinking that's north and not middle. Iris is in the midway...as is Horton...but there's nothing happening that would be construed as hazzardous at Horton. I'll have to check out Iris when we go out to dinner here in a bit.
constituting a division intermediate between those prior and later or upper and lower
<Middle Paleozoic> b : constituting a period of a language or literature intermediate between one called Old and one called New or Modern
<Middle Dutch>
between lower afton and upper afton = BC between uppertown and lowertown = Rice or Kellogg
Iris = no hazards and nothing that makes 14 squares...at least nothing we could see at night.
Marydale = possible. Not sure about the 14 squares though that could be the floors of the Front Street high-rise. The hazard there is the lake and the ice on the lake.
North Dale = possible as there is still some construction in part of that park. Not a clue where the 14 squares would be though.
Lewis = possible...but again not a clue where the 14 squares are unless there's some sense to the windows on the apartment building there. There's also no construction or other hazards that are obvious.

Is it OK if my brother comes? He'd love to see the old place too. And if I remember correctly you said that the basement was finished. Including the ceiling? Didn't Jake say he was coming too?
we are noodling this clue to death and all the while its what AW sees that we dont...The 14 squares on the box its hidden IN! or in a perfume box designed in Paris! OR somewhere where you can see the eifel tower - but that would be taking 2 steps. So somewhere you can see the word Paris ;)
The ONLY thing that clue says is..It is NOT in St Paul...or is? ;)
a great horned owl
Cool-er! I love owls, but rarely see them.
Wow thats crazy! I wonder why the crows were chasing it.

WoW- a real looking CLUE!

It's not in Como.
A park in the middle?

Middle could also mean downtown. Hmmmmmmmmmm
yes! Good clues thus far...
Midway area, downtown...or maybe the middle of the park not far off the track?
hazards made me think of a golf course.
look for the middle...
Middle

<Middle Paleozoic> b : constituting a period of a language or literature intermediate between one called Old and one called New or Modern
<Middle Dutch>

Which park can you land in the middle of without driving up to it?
Or a park with NO parkinglot
Not driving to it...a path leading down to it? taking the BUS to it?
Drive= Golf term
SWEDE HOLLOW :)
RIGHT
I think his 14 squares are gonna be so tiny- how many squares are on a checkerboard-if you work in pairs to play the game maybe its 28
Ares says 64 squares on a checkerboard-
but anyhow if one can spot 14 maybe 2 can spot 28 of something-maybe 14 is on one side and 14 is on another side hense you need 2 to find it
what games are played in Alison Wonderland? crocket - chess?
MIDDLE on a sign and you stand to the right of it? say a sign for a MIDDLE SCHOOL?
good one!
HOPscotch -lol
hopping-rabbit=AW
scotch=could use some while noodling ;)
Anaregman? I thought you wern't looking at this hunt til the BUTT hunt was over...did you find it in COMO yet?
I got to go eat so I'll be back in 10-15min.
I was just wondering- thats all-
hopping-rabbit=AW scotch=could use some while noodling ;)
go me2! go me2! go!
go me2! go me2! go!
or wrapping AW up in scotch tape ;)
hmmmmmm
he might like that ya know.
We're back from dinner and some scouting.
Iris = no hazards and nothing that makes 14 squares...at least nothing we could see at night.

Thanks for the scouting report Ter!
Goodness Terry & Inks!
out looking on clue 2!
But looks like we are all thinking -DEEPLY ;)
Truly, Madly, Deeply?

you have to walk far to get to it- so 2 people make good company while walking (pacing) the long path in Swede Hollow
or pace 14 squares on the ground from an enterance
Is there a chess tournament going on somewhere with 14 players. hehe
in pairs = Iris nap
but I like 'in Paris' much better
We're scouting tonight because the rest of the hunt will be iffy whether we'll be able to participate much. The noodling though should be fun.
Is it OK if my brother comes? He'd love to see the old place too. And if I remember correctly you said that the basement was finished. Including the ceiling? Didn't Jake say he was coming too?
