the statue is not in the location the house used to be

that location is sort of gone now because of the change in the roads. however, you can kind of figure out where it was

I can't go look now, I have work and I don't get off until 6!

Tater, I hope you didn't spend too much time in those gardens. If it was there, I would think it would be found by now - about 8 people have searched there.

Has anyone done a good sweep of right around the house, on the window sills, etc?

ok...by now most of you have seen the building....here's the history..

On May 2, 1878, a spark ignited a flour-dust explosion in the main building of the Washburn Crosby milling complex. The blast in the A mill leveled half the city's industrial district and shattered plate-glass windows as far away as St. Paul's Summit Avenue, causing damages of more than $1 million in 1878 dollars. Eighteen men burned to death in an instant.

"The roof of the Washburn A mill rose hundreds of feet into the air, followed instantly by a sheet of flame," reported William C. Edgar, editor of the trade journal the Northwestern Miller and author of The Medal of Gold, a corporate biography of the Washburn Crosby Company. "Other explosions occurred in quick succession. The ground shook and rocked. Then came the crash of falling stones and timbers and the terrible roar of the spreading flames. In the moments after the first alarm it seemed the entire west side milling district was doomed to total destruction."

BTW, if you ever get a chance to go the the Flour History Museum by the Mill ruins, it is worth it. It sounds so weird, but the elevator tour thing is really cool.

I do feel that #2 may have been picked up or buried if it was indeed at the library. With mucky, me, kitch and KC checking it out I don't think it's there now. I had a few of the librarians checking inside the library with me as well. Nothing. They found it kinda fun and will call me if they find something. They even looked in their drawers of lost-and-found items plus gave me the number to the head librarian manager in case I wanted to work something out.

Incidentally - no news from minbin for turn-in information. I left both e-mails and v-mails with no return contact as of yet.

Hmmm, I had the impression that Korn worked until 6. If he was going to hunt, wouldn't he have just got to the library in the last 20 minutes or so?

Maybe he got the afternoon off. If so, my bad.

for the record, I still haven't physically checked anything, I wasn't even the first person to get the library noodle (how I managed to even get it, I seriously don't know).

For the most part I've just been so busy with work and life in general, I just can't find time to do any hunting at all, lately I've been waking up in the mornings just dreading the day, probably why I've been oversleeping... or not go to bed in the evening.

it's almost 7, and I'm still at work, looking forward to another late day tomorrow....

and for the record, I don't believe it's in the library, after I saw the posted hours, it'd be cruel to hide something inside. If it's there, it's in the park adjacent to it.

I just assumed Joel was out there being that it was killing him once he noodled the clue.

I was extremely impressed that my wife actually noodled this one on her own. I got excited and went off on my ShawShank idea to make it really cool. That of course is probably a bit far fetched but I do like the library. I just hope they don't want us walking in the plant areas since I'm sure someone would be kicking us out ASAP.
