I'm a little worried about timing with AW's hunt...

and who suggested they promote this....I like the small hunt...heh

my 25th b-day is march 16th....

but im not going to be celebrating it this next year...

It'll just be another day.

this last one was really good, but alot of things went downhill in the months following...so much so, that I see no reason to celebrate, by having a party to honor what will probably be another crap filled year for myself.

Good job for all those noodles...I couldnt figure out many of them.

March 8th is the best!!!

It is also my understanding that if your birthday is not in March most other Coolers are in May!

The money we got was spent before it was int he bank :eyeroll:

Couldn't have come at a better time.

OTiS, you softie...Becksie's and my birthday isn't for months. you didn't have to get us gifts early.

As someone who really could use a spare thousand bucks myself, I'm actually very happy to read this post, OTiS - I'm glad to see the money going for a good cause!

Not that anyone else's won't go for a good cause either...beer and queensryche tickets for everyone, right Cluey?

Plus it was excellent detective work by the family firestone to get your mouse...

Yeah RB it was just good timing. That whole issue with my employer and how they kinda screwed with me cost Steph and I quite alot of money.

It made a word of diffrence.

I was happy for everyone that found or got in are a find. We as a crew were rocking on this hunt.

Looks like we'll have a new addiction besides the WC. At least I will.

Brad, thanks for sharing the info on this hunt. This last week has been a blast. My oldest even talked his way out of school today because he wanted to hunt too.

OTiS, one of the things that my folks did when I was growing up was that they made me the offer that if I could convince BOTH Mom and Dad where I thought the medallion was, They'd pull me out of school and go hunting with me.

I learned a LOT about history, using the library to look stuff up, constructing arguments, handling objections, geography, and a love of hometown. That offer was a great learning tool for me.

Just a thougnt, you'ure probably doing it already.

Course my brother told his kids that Santa Clause knowing if you were naughty or nice is a myth - he tells his kids that Parents have to report naughty or niceness to Santa so THEY can get presents. He puts a big chart on the fridge every thanksgiving for the kids so they can tally their naughty/nice activities.

I helped find the park.... Steph gets all the credit on the mouse.

OTiS

We'll do the same thing during the winter hunt. Thats one thing I want for my kids is to have them learn as much as they can about as much as they can.

Across the board, hunts like this and the WC do alot for personal growth.

So next week they are going to post the dates for the March hunt.

You guys thought we had it rough waiting a couple minutes for the next clue.

OTiS

It just hit me.....

We're all in serious trouble.

Kitch has had us watching small cities for the little hunts. So we take them one at a time. But with this kinda hunt we're going to have to learn and retain tons of info from the ENTIRE twin cities metro.

OMG

YW - Dan

The only beef I had was there was really no way to find the book before today. But the book wasn't necessary to find the mouse, I should have found the mouse yesterday.

But remember one thing Timmers - The mouse wasn't necessary to be asked for a password either. I talked with every worker in the place on 3rd floor but only the front desk people on 2nd floor. There were only two people I didn't talk with. Hummmm. :eyeroll:

PS - I'll call ya later tomorrow.

good thing I geocache the entire metro  You'd be surprised, but you do gain a lot of knowledge of the parks systems across the entire area. I knew about Staring Park exclusively from caching, as well as knowing Lake Harriet, the Maple Grove Arboretum (Yes I've been there, no I didn't know the hunt ended there until just looking), Como (who doesn't?), AND the temporary location of the Minneapolis Central Library. All 5 locations have at least one cache at them.

Had I had the time/energy/motivation to do this hunt, I mighta actually found a mouse, well, that is if I could get to an area before the rest of you did (hard to do when I'm on my own mostly).

Hey Joel - There was a time Thursday morning that I was trying to get a hold of you but I didn't have your cell in my new cell and Amy had my old one in her truck at work and couldn't get out to get it. E-gram me. You actually had a partner and didn't even know it. Shit - I know that I'd much rather have you in the library for me other than Jake.

beer and queensryche tickets for everyone, right Cluey?

Not this time around RB

I'm giving the kid the 1,000 for her account and gave the 334 to the wife for noodling the library clue.

I came away with one kick ass memory of a hunt and a good number of long days with great weather in beautiful parks that I've never really been in before.

Aero and Lenny will rock tho

ok, this has slowed down a bit ...

During the rapid-fire posting, I missed posts between when I posted. Is there something I need to set, or re-set, so that newest, un-read posts show?

Probably doesn't make sense, it's Monday.
