I think the clues are saying go away from the dome - Probably east maybe south.

Wiki.......

The roof of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis is one of the largest applications of Teflon PTFE coatings on Earth, using 20 acres (81,000 m2) of the material in a double-layered, white dome, made with PTFE-coated fiberglass, that gives the stadium its distinctive appearance. The Millennium Dome in London is also substantially made of PTFE.

I'd say Highland, Hidden Falls, or Crosby. Could even be at Minnehaha park, technically east of downtown.

I think anything is is still open that's from Snelling & 94 on south and east. There's quite a few parks in Ramsey County in that area yet.

It was at Snail Lake Regional Park in Shoreview last year.

Clue #1:

Starting from the teflon roof heading west would be a goof.

Clue #2:

Get out and search and use those legs but to the north there's just goose eggs.

---------------------------------------------

Obviously the teflon refers to the Metrodome, but could it have a double meaning? Could this be Highland? Is the Circus Juventas a 'Teflon' roof? You can't go 'west' because behind the tent (west side) is basically a ravine.

A lot of Geese hang out in the Golf Courses to the North.

Hi everyone. The Packers are having a hunt April 13-23rd. I will post clues here. I grew up by Greeen Bay so I have some ideas, but I know I could use the help. You can sign up to get the clues via email at the packers web site.
http://www.packers.com/fan_zone/contests/medallion_hunt/

Hope everyone is doing well.

Notice it says that each clue will bring you closer to site. I already guess it is at City Stadium where the Packers use to play in the 30's.

Interesting. My dad was born and raised in Green Bay. I remember going there once for vacation and a couple times for funerals, so I really don't know much about the area.

All his brothers and sisters are long gone now. But their kids and offspring, I'm sure are still around the area.

This particular case made news all over the place at the time. He was related to us. http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/cgi-bin/getcase.pl?court=7th&navby=case&no=972338

Second City Tickets

I don't know what that means, But it has Second City, Ballparks and Tickets in it. :eyeroll:

Chicago ave. is west of the Metrodome though, so that's no good. I think the 2nd city refers to St. Paul because it's the 2nd largest city in the State. Unless there's a business or something near the park with Chicago in the name, that could work too.

I like how they only print the current days clue and the previous clue. You need to follow the entire hunt if you want more than two clues to look at. I don't see where they print clue #1 anywhere today.

I wonder if "further south" is an anagram? The wording is awkward and it should be farther, not further.

Humm, east of Old Chicago, and sort of behind the Theater, there is a park, runs along the river, sort of by the stone arch bridge, think some of that park is relatively new or expanded, not sure.

2nd city to me is a rip on St. Paul.

Chicago is the windy city. unless they are saying South of Chicago Ave.

South of St Paul is the West Side (staying in Ramsey County) - Cherokee?

Otherwise the southest park in St Paul is BC?

maybe just the word "fur" can be taken from it.

looks like we are all thinking about the same things.

If that link is right and Mpls is the "2nd city" somehow than south of there but west of the dome puts you in what city still in Hennipin Co or Ramsey Co? Bloomington?
Tue, 03/31/2009 - 11:55 AM Permalink

thought of south of that theater - is 'behind' it actually south?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_city

United States

In the United States, the term has long been a nickname for Chicago[25], which has a history as the largest urban area second to New York City. Due to its population being second to New York, many people[who?] incorrectly believe this is the source of the nickname Second City. In fact, the moniker "Second City" was created after the Great Chicago Fire devastated the original city and from the ashes was built the new Chicago—the second Chicago.[26] The name is a sense of pride for Chicagoans heralding their success in the massive rebuilding of the city and is no way meant to refer to Chicago as being secondary to New York in population.[citation needed] However, in the 1980s, Chicago was displaced by Los Angeles as the second largest city in the United States (if considering the metropolitan area, it could be argued that this had taken place in the early 1970s). Chicago has embraced its "Second City" moniker and has widely accepted it as a shorthand name for the city; this is the origin of the name of The Second City comedy troupe.

If memory serves me ...Powderhorn Park is just off of Chicago

...looking at a map though it seems to be straight south of the Metrodome

If it's in Powderhorn than its closer to 15th because the Dome is off 11th and 15th is 'further' east and south of the Dome.

keeping with the further south of Chicago idea...

follow Chicago and it runs in to Vetrans Memorial Park and then passes next to 2 other parks.

the bad thing about this theory is that Chicago Ave is not East of the Dome.

what is the farthest park South in St Paul?

Is it Highwood Hills? I was trying to see on a map but couldn't tell.

It looks like the southern part of Crosby and HF is the southernmost part of St. Paul.

how can we go south of St Paul yet stay in Hennepin County?

I could only find part of Fort Snelling and the access down Snelling Lake Road. I think you need a permit to go down there. I was trying to go SOUTH of a 2nd city (St Paul) but out of St Paul and stay in the 2 counties of the hunt. South of St Paul is Dakota County except in that corner where it may be Hennepin and not Dakota or Scott.
