I looked at Crosby and Hidden but they already did Hidden a couple years ago and with 2 whole counties WHY would they go near where they have been before?

I though BC was the farthest BIG park in the south of St Paul?

but wow are they close on the map!!!

The Trib has gone to small parks before so I don't rule those out...hense, which park is tech the farthest south in St Paul.

I think the clues say east of the dome (& Mpls), and south of (or south part of) St Paul but in Ramsey County. This leads me to BC or Cherokee.

farther = actual distance

further = "I'm going to further myself" or metaphorical distance (i.e. "delve further into something")

My first thought was General Mills (did they/do they have grain towers in the Shepherd Road area, visible from Chair-o-key?). Or perhaps there are other General Mills-realted places that are more obscure but have to do with this clue.

Or maybe it is hidden in a Kashi (Cache) box?

my first thought was GM as well, but I want it to be closer to St Paul so I went with Kellogg

Clue #1:

Starting from the teflon roof heading west would be a goof.

Clue #2:

Get out and search and use those legs but to the north there's just goose eggs.

Clue 3:

Further south of the second city the golden ticket shines so pretty

Clue 4: If you like your breakfast food, this path will get you in the mood.

We should figure out where the earliest place to get the clue is, once this this goes a couple more clues. It doesn't get posted online until like 2 AM, I'll bet some stores get their papers before that. Also, the last clue is on Sunday and might be in the Early edition of the paper on Saturday.

Clue #1: Starting from the teflon roof heading west would be a goof. DOME/NOT WEST

Clue #2: Get out and search and use those legs but to the north there's just goose eggs. NOT NORTH/LEGGS-EGGS

Clue #3: Further south of the second city the golden ticket shines so pretty. SOUTH CHICAGO/SO PRETTY

Clue #4: If you like your breakfast food, this path will get you in the mood. SERIAL PATH/CEREAL MOOD

Clue #5: It still could bring you luck today, should you decide to go this way. 7 LUCKY/DIRECTION?

Still my rookie season, scattered thoughts......

find a one way street or a sign with an arrow

street with a lucky or Irish name.

just posting thoughts....

a horseshoe is lucky

is there a street that looks like a horseshoe?

the turn around KKKINDA could be a horseshoe look to it.

I like the lucky charms idea....

.... rainbows, horseshoes. leprechauns, shamrocks ... ROCK?

I like a SHAM ROCK - a rock that is a sham would be a fake rock.

There's the Shamrock Grill on W. 7th and Randolph.

HEEEEEEEEYYYYYYY.....

Which McDonald's are still serving (and advertising) Shamrock shakes?

A know a lot of flat roofs on those fast food joints use teflon for weatherproofing - slippery as hell if its wet.

Still scratchin' head, but google street view refers to downtown east (which looks like north east) over by the stone arch bridge. The ceresota building is on 2nd and portland, right down the hill is the mill ruins park with lots of walking paths. I think just to the south of that are the old Golden Medal Flour elevators (golden ticket?) Mills making ceral, grass fields and park paths along West River Park way... Right behind the Guthrie...

Tomlin was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in the Brewster-Douglass Housing Projects, the daughter of Lillie Mae (née Ford), a housewife and nurse's aide, and Guy Tomlin, a factory worker.[1] Tomlin's parents were Southern Baptists who moved to Detroit from Paducah, Kentucky during the Great Depression.[2][3][4] She is a 1957 graduate of Cass Technical High School. Tomlin attended Wayne State University, where her interest in the theater and performing arts began. After college, Tomlin began doing stand-up comedy in nightclubs in Detroit and later in New York City. Her first television appearance was on The Merv Griffin Show in 1965.

I had an epiphany right after we left BC earlier. We have been reading clue 5 wrong. It reads: "It still could bring you luck today, should you decide to go this way" We have been looking for shamrocks and lucky 7s this whole time. "It still could bring you luck" means that we should be looking for something that ordinarily would be unlucky, but is lucky now because the treasure is hidden there: Highway 13.:goofy:

we musta been in the same vacinity as the epiphany cause as we pulled out of BC we were talking about 7 and I was thinking 13 for bad luck - but the breakfast clue just doesnt scream the park! weird.

I talked with the creative marketing director and she said that they don't have any area that's formally set up for the distribution of the first papers with the clue in them. She mentioned that the earliest place to probably pick them up was in the Roseville area. And that wasn't until after 4am.

We know a quicker way that we'll try again tonight. Unless someone else comes up with something better in the mean time.
