That's what I said during the filming of Jingle All The Way. I took two weeks off and was an extra the whole time. I was in every shot whether they needed me or not. That was my downfall unfortunately. No continuity. I kinda stood out I guess. :(
You were in Jingle All the Way? So were we! We were extras one day at the Mall of America. We got to stand at the top of the escalator, right by Arnold, and when he runs down the escalator and jumps over the piano at the bottom, we are walking along the second floor. You can't see us, though. :-(
My husband didn't know that the rules say you can't talk to the talent. So he struck up a brief conversation with Arnold. All I can say is he's a lot shorter than I thought!
What scenes are you prominently visible in? Maybe we can find you next time we watch!
Holy crap! That's where I was during that particular scene too! There were two couples and me with two girls (twists mustache). You guys must have been one of the couples. Funny how you talk about talking to the talent. I did the same thing because I didn't know about that rule. (because I snuck on every day by talking with the second unit and extra coordinator)  They placed me next to Arnold in a bunch of scenes. None of them made the cut. Big scenes too where the movie looked funny without them IMHO. They filmed that scene of yours for two days and if I remember they had many takes because of the bouncing ball messing up. Same problem they had inside the toy store when the ball went bouncing out of the store where Arnold and Sinbad were chasing it. I wasn't part of that scene because of shooting a second unit scene in the hallway right there. I did talk with Sinbad on his break and Arnold at lunch tho. Even had him sign a cigar of mine. Plus pictures of Sinbad, Arnold and Phil with me at various scenes.
Pretty cool experience if ya ask me.
And yes - Arnold is a bit short. I had to look down at him while talking on the way to lunch at the mall. I have tons of pictures of that whole deal. None of which flashes were used of course. Shhhhhhhhhh! ;-)
Oh, and prominent scenes I'm in? HAHAHA Remember, I got tons of face time and worked many hours for two straight weeks only to get 8 frames. It's probably more than that but that what it feels like and what I tell people. My friend Keith and I are walking in the background by some busses during the scene where Phil gets coffee tossed in his face for hitting on Rita. And also while they're talking before that in the car, I walk by with my 'son' carrying a chair. That scene took forever. Funny tho how I'm walking to the right behind the car in the same scene where the very next shot I'm walking way over by the busses off to the left. With different people. hehe

Ive always wondered... if they kick you out of someplace like that and say that you cant ever come back... what happens if you do? Do they have a wall of shame someplace, there, that all the employees are supposed to memorize?
Dan & I used to live next to the Riverview theater, so we went to lots of movies. When "The Shining" came out, we saw it 1ce, then went on another night, sat in the back, and gasped loudly when nothing was gonna happen just to see the people jump. Not quite up to Redbear par, but silly just the same.
redbear sounds like the perfect guy to hold up a coach has a big butt sign when the saints play fargo( ihavent been thrown out for heckling the fargo coach yet)
My hubby was in the toy store, but he didn't make it in the final movie footage. Yea, I wonder whose idea it was to have the bouncing ball everywhere! What a pain to try to get that to work! Too bad Phil is gone. He was great.

didn't get kicked out...but.....
we should have....I forget what team he played for...it was a Saints playoff came and Ozzie Conseco ...
We started off Nice and tame...just saying ozzie ozzie when he was "on deck".
He struck out.
As he came back to the dug out we said something like "that's why your brother gets the big bucks huh?"
His next at bat...he struck out again....I don't recall what we said to him...but you could tell he was upset....
3rd at bat...struck out for a 3rd time...
We then razzed the hell outta him....hmmm BEERS flowing then... (something like "your brother has $$ and chicks because he doesn't strike out---nice hat trick")
He was so pissed he threw his bat down and ran over to us...said he would find us after the game....
He grew up in the south (Oklahoma) in the 50's. About age 12 he and some friends were at the movies...up in the balcony. During a love scene he made throw up noises and dumped a can of cream corn over the edge of the balcony.eeeeeeeewwwwwww (don't recall if it hit anyone or not)
I totally agree Green Team - Here's some pictures of me with Arnold, Phil and Arnold's stunt double if you haven't seen them before. Do you have any pictures of the set or stars?
i was probably at that game...and if he couldnt take it it too bad its all part of the game though i guess the fargo coach was a little up set when the saints made shirts of him that said baseball has been belly belly good to me
That second shot was taken in the parking lot that is now Charles Shultz park next to Landmark Center. That building in the background was where Arbuckles and Shannon Kellys used to be and was being torn down at that moment.
And that hair is on your computer screen. Give it a blow once. You'll see ;-)
I need a techie to help me out- What equipment do I need to transfer video to dvd? I have a decent burner.... I googled, but only found the services. I kinda want to be able to do it myself, if it's affordable. You guys (and gals) Are far better than I to find this stuff.
You should try too THX. Who else is down there?
heck, why should we work when we can gawk at stars outside our window instead:)

I still made it in two scenes anyway :)
I will have to break that movie out again and watch it.....
how are you feeling CM?
Â
I have my days but this Ginkgo Biloba stuff seems to be working. Plus it has some cool side effects. ;-)
I just need to remember to bring some home from work. This past weekend sucked for my little brain.
Thanks for asking. I'm calling the doc now to see about getting a prescription for some O2. I hear that fixes headaches in a jiffy.
I'd like to be as close to Charlize as I was to Arnold. MMMMMMM HoTTTTTTT!
so being close to Arnold was a turn on?

Ah, once again I've given TXH a tagline. All is right with the world.
You've got a good wit, Frosti.

I also went to see "How Stella got her groove back" just so I could do Brando imitations for two hours.
Stella!
I don't know if I am on the wall of shame there - probably not, but just in case, I haven't been back yet.
