Did you notice how long it takes some people to complete the written test? I saw some people that were taking it a good 15 minutes before I started and were still there when I was done. Scary..........how long does it take to read and understand basic traffic signs?
Playing hearts with good friends under the black lights and dance club lights while a decent band played right next to us. It didn't even matter that I lost. Fun.
Enjoy my grandson Nathan making it into the Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament for the third straight year! What a great year he and his fellow Cougar's from Zumbrota/Mazeppa are having.
lol Honestly, I was wondering if I could develop some kind of medallion hunt app that would be useful to hunters. I just don't really know what such an app would do, or what would be useful.
Enjoy: So, this subcontract company contracts to HP to fix off campus printers for 3M. They had one that they couldn't figure out the problem on, so they replaced the entire printer.
We got the printer back, find out the problem was from a bad toner cartridge. HP asked this subcontract group what they wanted to do with the printer, they didn't want it back, and basically said to toss it out. So the guy from HP asks if I want it.
Yeah, supplies are more expensive, but with moderate home use, I doubt I'll have to buy anything for it for years.
Plus, working on them for a living, I know all the ins and outs of it.
Since I'm borrowing my parents internet (they live 2 houses down), I can let them use the printer as well.
And this makes up for all the garbage printers/computers I've gotten from people over the years that figure giving me stuff was easier than having to deal with disposing of it (which ironically I'm finishing up clearing out, lol).
Finding out just how much more battery life my phone gets by disabling both the auto-sync and auto-update options. Amazing. And I don't miss a thing by not using those options.
Got my Toshiba Thrive tablet from UPS yesterday (they were nice enough to wait to deliver it until I got home).
Now I have something I can really play around with. I was always a little timid about messing with my phone because of the contract and the possibility of messing it up (it is my only phone number), sure I could just take the phone back to sprint and say "My phone is broken" "Why?" "Because I rooted it and tried to install a different Rom so I could have free tethering...", but that's really not my style.
But, since the tablet is only wifi and not bound to any contracts, I can really start learning how android works.
I have a First Generation Nook, which has both wifi and 3G. I live 15 miles from town, and my old PC doesn't support wifi...I bought a "book" from B&N the other day, which normally just shows up on my reader. This time because it was a package that included 3 books of a series, I had to go to a wifi hotspot to download it. Took about 5 minutes....apparently the 3G can't do that. First time I've ever had it happen.
So I spent last evening trying to get cyanogenmod installed on my parent's tablet. First I found out the firmware on it was too new, and cyanogenmod was built to work off a previous firmware, so I had to downgrade that via a very hokey NVFLASH utility. Once I did that, the darn thing was stuck in APX boot mode and would basically not boot up after being shut down. So I had to reflash about 5 times before finding a tutorial on how to fix that problem, which involved clearing all user data by doing a factory restore, then reinstalling the factory rom, resetting a couple times and then finally it would boot up on it's own. I gave up at that point for the evening. At least I proved I could back up and restore their Angry Birds high scores. Given the trouble with getting google market on their tablet, I might abandon the idea of putting it on it. When google makes changes that require a new fix to be applied, all it does is throws up a ton of force closes on the tablet. Which would be ok if I were doing it on mine, but I don't need to be over fixing their tablet every few weeks.
The year there was no winter. There was enough winter for a few years during last year's winter season. This years season was basically nonexistent with the exception of 3 days
I do see them inside the car but it's probably just going up and down Broadway for the shot then back to Trump's place to hang out until their flight arrangements are made. I'll bet that even his dungeon is better than my house.
an exciting beginning to your eternity together!
Im happy you are happy Ice.

Hopefully, I can turn it into a profitable hobby someday.
