Went car shopping today, not thinking I was going to buy anything, but ended up getting this one. After taking a test drive, it just felt like the right vehicle for me. Obviously the color helped, but I got a decent deal on it, and it had every feature my cobalt had on it, plus a few extras (the fiancee insisted on having heated seats, she doesn't like the cold).
Nice looking car! I always thought heated seats were silly. Now I have them and would be unhappy without. I drive 1 to 2 miles to work before the car has a chance to warm up. Those heated seats are marvelous!
Indeed. It was kinda silly to get the first car I actually ran across, but the more I think of it, I didn't really want to spend the next couple weeks hemming and hawing about it either.
Yeah, my insurance agent said the same thing about heated seats. She thought they weren't all that important of an option until she had them. I don't really think it'll matter to me one way or another, but since they're there, I might use them when it gets cold enough.
That vehicle has your name all over it Joel. Nice! Grats.
I've had heated seats in my last 4 cars and I've never used them and only look at the button like it's mocking me saying 'I bet you wished I was a cooling seat button don't you?'
But J and Whitney seem to like them in her car since I have to routinely turn the seats off each time I sit in the car.
cluey, with your lower back, you should give 'em a try. i frequently use them with the a/c set to igloo on an 85 degree day in the summer just because it feels sooooo good on the back.
I posted an ad on craigslist to get rid of a few pieces of furniture from my old residence and have just found some of the responses amusing.
Mind you, the stuff is in pretty lousy shape, so I'm giving it away free. One guy wanted to know why the top of the desk was warped (which actually it isn't, probably just the quick picture I took), and what the dimensions were so he could see if it would work for him. Sorry man, it's free, if I wanted to haggle with people, or whatever, I would have posted it for sale.
So far everyone wants the smaller computer desk, no bites on the larger, heavier one, go figure.
So.. I've had my HHR for a few months now, just getting back into the normal flow of things and noticed I was paying around $120 a month for my Cobalt, as compared to around $70 a month for the HHR. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, they're the same year, have most of the same features (except the HHR has side impact airbags). One would tend to think if you get in an accident, you'd be lucky if your premiums stayed the same. I'm not complaining at all, just found it odd.
Oops. Now that I reread that I must apologize for the visual. It's just been quite some time since I was free enough to be naked for 24 hours. I'm sure the neighbors hope I'm not 'free' anytime soon. I was just in a whatever mood. Felt good.
Great. I think Cluey just got sent back to hell - and dragged all of our sweaty butts back with him. Inside of my parked car is 122 degrees right now, even with the windshield shade and the windows cracked.
Receiving 2 double record albums in the mail today before they're even released. Plus a concert shirt that actually fits. Feels like the old Columbia House / BMG days long ago before CD's hit the market.
Tomorrow we will be taking our daughter out to the airport. The reason she was home was for a wedding she was in and we all attended yesterday. With all the wedding stuff going on, we sure didn't get much time to visit with her.
She did have a guest with her for the wedding - someone she met through a common friend and has been dating for awhile so we got to meet him. He is so very nice! He was nervous to meet us. We just had dinner with them along with my Mom and I think he got over being nervous. He is handsome and has a wonderful sense of humor. I sure hope she keeps this one.
