Well if you need to live cheaply, you might as well enjoy it.
I've been on a Ramen noodle kick lately, partly because it's cheap, and partly because I hadn't had them in a while anyway.
So I've been experimenting with them a bit. I know, you always hear of horror stories, typically college students, that get so sick of them that they can't stand the smell of them.
One thing I found though, if you like spicy/hot foods, if you add some Sriracha sauce, it gets pretty tasty.
I like to add a finely chopped jalepeno pepper in with the ramen...the noodles absorb the heat from the pepper as they cook and it adds a little crunch. nummmy
Things are still the same. He is going on a cruise with her in January for a wedding that she is in. He is treating her very well. Sure different than some of the dingbats she has dated.
I do work right behind White Castle - when I'm at my desk. That's not happened much lately as I've been busy at other sites with two special projects and an employee who left, filling in for that empty spot and now training the new person I hired.
Then we are redecorating the living room and prepping for some remodeling of the kitchen and maybe the bathroom. It is over due and I'm more than ready for a change. We just had our new living room furniture delivered and then today a couple of end tables I ordered came so we had to put those togther and in place. It's a work in progress, but I'm loving it.
In between I do stuff for my Mom often and doing some birthday and Christmas shopping - and trying not to buy too much stuff for the grandbaby that will arrive in March.
That is going to be difficult Terry...you are about to be taken over by Grandma syndrome. You will buy everything in site for a while...it tapers off eventually.
My deck is still holding strong, prolly cuz the heat from my garage underneath - but it's making popping noises, which makes me think it's gonna start leaking in the spring...
They'll have a decision by Friday, so check back then, heh. Got some disturbing news that a guy with no practical experience was being considered because of his customer service skills.. And apparently he has some decent connections as well. So it might not be the walk in the park I thought it would.
It's Tuesday, and I'm still waiting on a job offer from HP. It still sounds promising though. One of the techs told me they talked to the hiring manager and I was at the top of the list. Apparently a new procedure in their HR department is to run a background check on an applicant before a job offer can be made. So since that goes through a whole group of people, I probably have to wait a few more days before I hear anything.
Talk about nerve wracking though. I mean, no sweat on the background check, it's just having to wait to hear if I got the job or not... especially knowing there are 4 other people waiting as well.
hmm.. maybe I got some bad information.. I'm sure it's in process. Heck I got nothing to hide anyway. Drug tests? no problem, to most places that deal with problematic people, I'm a boring case....
Thanks Terry  I'm pretty ecstatic myself  Having real benefits is a BIG plus, especially after not having them for a few years. I know I will fully appreciate them.
So there's someone from my church needing a job. They don't have a lot of technical experience, but they are a hard worker, and can learn quickly, I'm going to try and recommend them for my old job, and see how it goes. I'm just not sure what else I can really say in their favor. One thing going for them is the rate of pay we get doesn't really attract a lot of people with IT experience...
Thanks Kathy! I'll be around 3M, but I won't have a desk there anymore (or Sametime access, email, phone). But I'll still have a badge to get around. So if you want to see me, you'll have to break your printer  lol
There was a guy she dated in college many years ago that was so good to her, but she wasn't ready for a serious relationship. She broke his heart.
She is comparing this guy and how good he is to her in the same way as the earlier relationship in college. She has never done that before.
Gives me hope.

I did years of child care in my home. Fussy babies don't bother me.
So CM how does that big decks hold up in this cold weather?

Having benefits would be nice

Where I work we do a conditional offer with the condition of an acceptable background check.
As of March 4th, I'll be an official HP employee, along with a substantial pay increase.
Now to break the sad news to my contract firm and my boss tomorrow. Hopefully that goes well.
That is sooooooo exciting!!!!!!
Just write a notice letter. Short and sweet.
Dear.....
This is my notice to you that I have been offered and have accepted a new position. My last day with you will be _____.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you.
Yours truly,

If they ran that Friday or yesterday, I'm guessing they have it completed.
