My neighbors (new this year) getting in the spirit and putting lights out that twinkle in my front window. It might provide me with the incentive that I need to get a tree up earlier than December 23rd.
target straightening things out with their distributor of holiday lights; i was mortified to see "super bright lights" stickers covering what used to be "up to 40% energy savings over standard super bright bulbs" on the boxes. looks like they got the majortiy of the bad lights out with the after thanksgiving sale, so yay. hey, it might sound petty, but its the difference between 100,000 lights outside before the garage sub-panel trips its breaker and 60,000 lights. someday anyway.
Cleaning out 8 years worth of kids toys and clothes from our closet and giving all 8 keg bags and 5 boxes of the stuff to the Lupus foundation. All with a 1 hour notice.
8 years of moving around that stuff over and over all to be cleaned up in one highly productive hour. Whew!
I did some purging myself today. Woke up to see the wrecker had finally picked up my Blazer. She was a good ol' girl. :frown: Between that and finally letting go of the 50's era stove a couple of weeks ago, I should feel liberated or something. But I just feel kind of sad. :worried:
Being the last shopper at WallyWorld and having most of the overnight staff help me fly through my list of shit to get. I had to save 30 minutes of shopping with everyone cruisin around for me. HA.
As much as I would love everything to be 24 hours, my community had many stipulations that Wally had to follow to get in here and unfortunately being open 24 hours wasn't one of them. Apparently we have one of the most aesthetically pleasing stores in the country because of the 'rules' too. It also had to be scaled way back because 'people' didn't want one of those 99k sq. ft. supercenters put in.
that sucks CM! I live 9 miles south of one and 8 miles north of another (so pretty damn close to smack in the center) We don't have the super ones with the grocery stores here tho (I wish!) I get so much cool stuff there.
enjoy = watching the news after hearing a forecast of rain for the weekend and seeing every channel start up "stormwatch 2005" once again. That just cracks me up.
I tape the news and enjoy seeing how close they were on the forecast when watching them from 2 or 3 days ago. It always seems to be 2 feet of the stuff or none at all. Never 1.5 inches unless it's the days forecast.
Not being tired after coming home at 3 am from a night out with the peeps.
tell him they're not chewables
having a goodly portion of the house decorated for christmas. and most of the christmas present shopping done. a month early.

8 years of moving around that stuff over and over all to be cleaned up in one highly productive hour. Whew!

Usually we get hammered at the bar and go in there on a late saturday night and play in the toy section for a good hour or so.
I love 2 am toy shopping.
only sick minded, j.
Since last night we've gotten about an inch of rain, and are expected to get like 3 more inches by the end of this 'storm' which ends Saturday.
I have no idea what that would convert to for snow - but it's coming down right now and I wish I was home by my fireplace.
