Enjoy: I went last night and saw LOVERBOY! play the fair - we sat 5th row for the show.
If you closed your eyes they were the same great band. When you opened them... well lets just say there was no red leather - and that was prolly a good thing.
Earthquakes must be trippy. Just sit and wait for it to end. Cool!
Enjoy - Being an extra for a new Metro Transit commercial filmed outside my building today. After my shot we shut them down for not having a permit to film on our property.
yeah, they are. If you've ever lived near a train track - it feels a lot like that, only it's not a train, you don't know how long it will last, and you don't know the intensity of it.
I would think they're cool too. And if it's big enough to kill you, at least you died in an earthquake. That's pretty cool in itself. Kinda like getting killed by lightning. You're special that way.
a woman from ohio who was dining w/ her husband last night at a restaurant about 3 miles from the center - said at first she was like WTF? and then when they realized what had happened, she said it was cool as hell.
I'd rather be surprised by death, than know it was coming (like a tornado) of course I guess with one of those, you at least get warning.
Same here Diggin. Plus I bring my camera and camcorder.
As far as a quick death - something along the lines of 9/11 would work for me I guess. Only if I was on one of the floors that were initially hit though. Fast and unaware. Drawn out cancer type death is where the scary stuff is. Death itself isn't scary, it's how you'll achieve it that is.
Not really like or dislike but it's my boss' last day today. He's kind of a prick to everyone but we get along fine. he has a way of cutting one down but it rolls off my back. Not sure who's gonna replace him so you have that wait-and-see thing going on around here which tends to make everyone a bit paranoid. Although all the long term employees are just giddy today because of him leaving. Heading to the party now. MMMMM Famous Daves ribs! :pbpt:
perhaps. I was looking at his sight and he played my cousins bar (the Condor) for two shows in June as well. Looks like he does a lot of his shows around here.
enjoy: requesting the September 1st off - I'm going to the state fair with my roommate and we are gonna go see Tesla.
Finally getting that good job that has tuition reimbursement, so I am going to go back to school next year and get my Bachelors degree in graphic design.
ordering a red controller for my guitar hero game so we can play in doubles...
i'm beginning to be come a geek again - I also got dish satellite for my room today since we upgraded the house package. I'm scared - I may start watching tv again. :worried:
corn-dogs, beer, thai food, video games.... hey.... have I told you I liked you yet?
Whats Guitar Hero like?
Is it as addicting as DDR? or Kareoke Revolution?
If so, then its probably something I should stay away from...
DDR was like a drug for a small group of 4-5 of us a couple of summers ago... we got to the point, where we were modifying Playstations, so we could order rare, foreign versions of the games...(the Japanese ones are way better than the American ones)
Even got roped into doing a doubles tourney out at Burnsville Center, one time...
Kareoke....
lets not even get into that one....
It has to be the best game for drunken-stupid-parties, ever...
My niece being back home safe and sound. They'll take her to their regular doctor today or tomorrow, but they're back at least. My niece is doing better, getting better sleep and more happy than she's been lately.
Dusting off my mouse ears... starting the countdown... finding myself humming M I C... K E Y... M O U S E as I do housework... The Disney vacation anticipation is building!
oh yeah - it's from the makers of DDR and it rocks! It's a guitar game player that you do the fret fingering with a little strum bar.
Queen, Zakk Wild, Black Sabbath, David Bowie - just to name a few. www.redoctane.com plus as you progress through the levels you can get bonus tracks that are hidden until then.
I just ordered a second guitar for doubles action last night - I can't wait til it gets here on Thursday.
My BF has DDR, with the doubles pads etc and all the different versions - we play that all the time. I am much better @ Guitar Hero tho.
Enjoy: Taking 100 underprivledged children back to school shopping on Saturday. It was fun, they had a blast as always - I scored the roll of photographer this year which meant instead of shopping, I got to interview each kid and ask them what was their favorite item in their cart and take their smiling faces.
Enjoy: Helping out @ Kids Day where all the local hospitals get together and offer free services to all kids without H.I. for the day, and has social workers come and help put them on insurance and get assistance. We had jumpy houses for them to play in between their apts.
I posted a couple pics in the photo thread

but I personally think they are kinda cool.

I think tornados are pretty cool too tho.
I wonder why that is. I thought it was a little sick streak in me.
I get excited about all our flooding in winter too.
I love extreme weather!! :ooh: If there's a severe weather alert - I don't take shelter - I go outside to watch!

ya...I had a lot of fun all last week.... with those severe weather HEAT alerts....was fun to watch...
Then again, they looked a tad young. Guess I'm not as young as I used to be...

enjoy: requesting the September 1st off - I'm going to the state fair with my roommate and we are gonna go see Tesla.
we had plans to go and see it opening day, down at Eden Prarie Center (where they filmed Mallrats)... but it was outta there, pretty dang quick...
I might end up waiting to see it, until it gets to the dollar theater in Roseville...
Now that's an experience. You definitely get what you pay for there. :eyeroll:
I'll probably like it a lot then too :goofy:
when I first heard that they were going to make it, I was worried that it would be something stupid...
enjoy: reading that they captured 2 guys responsible for the serial shootings in Phoenix.
now they just have to find the baseline killer.
I'm going back on my diet as of tomorrow - so I 'did it up' this weekend.
also enjoy - 3 new stackable toe rings.. they are purdy. and ultra comfy.
i'm beginning to be come a geek again - I also got dish satellite for my room today since we upgraded the house package. I'm scared - I may start watching tv again. :worried:
