We were on our way to Danbury last weekend when the Blazer started smoking out all the people on 35. So we cut our losses and went back home from Hinckley and camped in Eagan. Not quite the same as the backwoods of Wisconsin but it worked for us given the situation. How was the 35 on the other side of the boarder? I heard it was under construction.
we usually camp right near Monticello/Big Lake... its at Ann Lake campgrounds... right in the "Sand Dunes" state forest...
been going up there since junior high, probably...
the fire-tower has been closed off for a buncha years now, though because its probably way too unsafe to be on... but what do we care.... its fun to take pictures from, and pee off of...
Its sad that we usually only go like twice during a summer...
I'd like to drive up there sometime, like maybe just for the day and follow the ski/snow-mobile trails around in the woods sometime... thats always fun
but maybe thats why I always look forward to going there... because its not over-done
also enjoy - I forgot to add this one
- swimming in a lake, while the rain is coming down so hard that you can barely even see...
Its something I reccomend to people, just so they can see how weird it looks to actually do... we were so wet, that we couldnt even feel the rain hitting us, but you could still see the drops splashing in the water..
and also - hiding 5 huge bundles of fire-wood, off in the woods so we can use them the next time we go up there, sometime in September...
we made a treasure map so we can find them... and we're talking about writing clues, so people that come with, that weekend can do a "medallion-hunt" of sorts...
Having one of only two Packers that I ever liked playing for the Vikes now. Ryan Longwell is an excellent investment. I always dreaded him when we played GB but always respected him. The other player I liked was Reggie White.
I feel a lift of relief this year for our team. New coach - new players - just feels good.
GO VIKES!!!!
sad that the football game was on at the same time as Treasure Hunters - tv in the livingroom had the game on while the family room carried Treasure Hunters
I feel like a slacker.... I havent even seen an episode of Treasure Hunters yet....
anything thats on the same time as Monday Night Raw, doesnt stand a good chance of being seen...
we tried to switch to the Vikings game a couple of times, during commercial breaks.... seemed like every time we did, Oakland had the ball, or had just scored or something...
gotta love that ending though.... typical Vikings game ending....
I was talking about the fact that they were only a few yards away from possibly getting a touchdown and winning..... they gave us hope for about 30 seconds....
and then they lost.
whatev.... atleast Lita won the womens title on Raw... double gold in that faction!
and Jen (one our drinkin partners from Uptown, a couple months ago) is still around in the diva search...
Funny - I didn't have hope at all when watching that QB we were using in the end. Talk about sucking. One play does not a QB make. Both of our backups bite big time. Hopefully they'll fare better next game.
having my "to do" list before we go on vacation complete... having the kids actually getting their stuff together to pack... the fact that the flight attendants won't strike until after we are out of town... RSVPing for a kick ass bachelorette party
Ok this is crazy - but exciting!! I was trying to think of a present for PayMe and Otis for the baby...
and I remembered that I used to do a line of kids clothing for my old winery. I called my distributor, and he's got a bunch of requests for my stuff (which he can't sell without my permission)
So... I'm launching a website and a kids clothing line - Whinewear.com will be up and running in the next week or so!!
yeah - it was huge @ the time, I'd order 12 dozen shirts a week that said things like Got Whine? Or Whinemaker that had cartoon grapes on the bottom - and they sold like hot cakes.
I have a photo of one of my originals on one of my teddy bears
getting offered a booth at a 300 + person marketplace at a sister winery for free in October for whinewear! sweet! now I just have to get my logo and the stuff maid.. soon. very very soon.
all of the following from this past weekend
- a weekend of camping with friends & their family...
- running around in the woods, doing whatever we please
- drunken camping activities
- wheel-chair races on dirt roads
- swimming in super-clean looking water
- being surprised, by people showing up, who nobody expected to be there
- Getting some really good pictures from the top of the "closed off" forest-fire watch tower
- cheese filled hot-dogs made on a camp-fire grill, at 3 in the morning, while it was raining/windy/crazy
- finding tables that a myself and a buncha friends carved our names in, nearly 10 years ago
- a camp-fire that had flames reaching nearly 7 feet in the air, and was so hot that you could cook a can of chilli in just under 3 minutes...
- stopping on the way home, this morning and shooting just 2 over par at the disc-golf course in Elk River...
insane!!!!
took me 25 mins to drive from danbury to webster on backroads...
but I did see a blackbear on the road...
best way to get to danbury is to take 35 to grantsburg exit....than take county F in grantsburg to danbury...
(constuction from pinecity to hinkly)
been going up there since junior high, probably...

I love that place...

I seek thy reef = The key is free
only to see 3 blockheads trying to find a book.....I could only think of JAKE being on your team....
anything thats on the same time as Monday Night Raw, doesnt stand a good chance of being seen...

NS! I thought the same thing. Did you see how huge that card catalog room was? WOW! Jake would have been there for weeks. :eyeroll:
typical Vikings game ending....
I thought Brad did the right thing. Why push the guys for a game that means nothing.
and then they lost.

Summerslam "should" be good.
enjoy -
WWE 24/7 OnDemand on cable.... hell yeah... that thing is awesome...
I need to get cable here, so I can stop going to other peoples houses to watch cool stuff...
Funny - I didn't have hope at all when watching that QB we were using in the end. Talk about sucking. One play does not a QB make. Both of our backups bite big time. Hopefully they'll fare better next game.
one of my to do list items is to cancel the appointment. and reschedule the doctor's visit elsewhere
whatever you say dear.
:: groans ::
do you mind if I borrow it?

I'm in Bidness!

The laziest one that complained when she had work given to her.
I don't care that we don't have a replacement yet, it's a better work environment by far now that she's gone anyway.
- having person #30 (and there will probably be more) confirm just now, that they'll be at Nick-A-Palooza....
I need to organize events more often
- 8 of those people (including myself) being the 8 "original members" of the "Beavis Crew"...
this will be the first time all of us have been in the same place, at the same time, since 1999-2000
damn, I'm good
having a select number of t-shirts made for the above mentioned event...
being sick and home :frown:
I havn't taken a sick day in years
I know "wha wha wha, everybody gets sick once in a while"...personally, I'm a big baby when I get sick or hurt and I admit it, but I'm also cuddly.
In a soft/gentle/weak voice "Come take care of me ~ give me loves"
so make some and bring it over ....someone paweeeze-achoo! :frown:
