irritates: All the rain we had this morning, when trying to run the kids egg hunt at the park.
taking a ball in the face last night at soccer practice, and my cheek still hurting (although it's not swollen - that is a plus)
Getting 2 penalties tonight in the game for 1) kicking a ball that hit the ceiling and 2) I took out a guy who had about a hundred pounds on me. He went to take me out, and just in the moment, instead of falling - I tripped him and he ate astroturf. It was intentional.. so I got a time out.
realizing today, that someone who I considered one of my best friends, isn't really a someone I want to be friends with.
If you take to heart 'you are known by the friends you keep' I don't want to consider a friend someone who in certain company, turns her back on, bad mouths, and in general ignores others if they are there - people she is nice to when 'the cooler, more trendy' crowd isn't around. But won't give the time of day to, or even hello, when 'fun' people are there.
It's really disappointing to see an adult behave like a teen with self image problems. It's pathetic actually.
It sounds like someone still stuck with high school mentality in an adult world. I'd leave her there. There can't be that many people still hanging out that wouldn't notice the immature behavior.
I showed up to trivia with my two best friends. She showed up with some friends and her boyfriend (one girl who was with her, is one of my really good friends)
Sat down, at our table and never said Hi to the two I was with, even though they both acknowledged her, and while her friends all sort of stood around,(I was knitting when she came up) took my project away from me, and told me how much better HER way of knitting is, and how i'm doing it wrong, and that I'm using terrible, cheap yarn etc... then she started pulling out stitches. which pissed me off.
She did it to try to make herself look good. at this point, i snatched it back, and told her to leave it alone. I'm making a teddy bear for some poor kid in a third world country, and this is what they said to use for it, and if she wanted to make one, I'd gladly email her the pattern, but until then she could just shut the *f* up.
funny thing, the friend of mine who was with her, came over, mid way through the night, when she saw that we were all laughing and having fun, and came to sit with us, cause she wasn't having any fun with the other group, cause they wouldn't let her give her input to the game.
I could have really cared less about the knitting. What angered me so, was how she treated my two friends. People who have been nothing but nice to her. Frequent her business where she is nothing by sweet and pleasant when we go in there and drop $50 at a time.
and thats why when one of my friends said lets move to california I said hell no most people out there are azz holes!!!!!!!!! im sorry your friends dont know a good friend when they have one there for them!!!!!!!!!
people who lack the ability to see the big picture, and figure that because you have done it the last 4 years in a row, that without even asking you to do it, will do it, and when you tell them that you won't - the concept of actually doing it, and what it entails to do it, is totally out of their comprehension
It's like loosing an old friend. One who you would only hang out with on warm days enjoying the company and some beer with others for the past 15 years. I'm gonna miss ya old pal.
I told my coworker I'd cover for him so he could have a day off, he's been stressed lately. So of course the phones are ringing off the hook today. Which is odd for a Friday, but I suppose not odd for the 13th...
My phone txts, emails update, and it rings non stop all day long. luckily so does my office mates as she is queen of soccer moms... so it's like two people having two separate convos.. all day long.
infact I'm on my cell right now - while i'm typing this...
When my mother was dying, a couple of her grandkids (in their late 20s at the time) were paging and cell-phoning at her deathbed
I've also been at a funeral where a middle-aged woman answered her cellphone during the mass and proceeded to have a conversation until we shot her enough dagger looks, she finally explained to her caller that she was at a funeral and asked if it would be ok if she called her back.
It's about as good as someone using their cell phone during a meal with a friend. It's conveying their cell phone conversations are more important than the person they're with. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I prefer a face to face conversation over a phone call/email/text message (and I realize how ironic that is considering I'm posting this on a web based forum).
I let my coworker go home 2 hours early (she asked) even though it meant I was at work alone. At least it was peaceful the last couple hours.
There was a time where I would call the Target Customer Service while standing in line so I would be helped in a quicker manner. I'd be talking with them on my cell while being the next in line and asking the person who answered why they weren't helping the person who was next instead of me. I would just look up and smile. They changed their phone policy shortly afterwards. Now it's done behind closed doors and uses a totally different person than who's working the counter.
1) my dog needing to go back to the doctor AGAIN for his ear hemotoma. same thing - one week after the stitches came out, it puffed up again. *sigh* we need to look at alternate treatments. I can't take a dog in a dork collar for another 3 weeks. We see the doc at 7:30
2) being hung over from my friday night adventure to the point where I couldn't run in my soccer game yesterday. I have another one today, and luckily I feel better.
he leaves for iraq today monday!! all because one of my other friends didnt want to go and the worst part is I drove what the f@?k?! but no jeremy has to be the nice guy I swear I am done!!!!! I am just going to start being a azz hole!!!!!!!!!
loseing a battle in my mind that I have been fighting for years!!!!!!!!! I wont go in to it here!!!!! I have to start OVER!!!!!!!!! after more then eleven years!!!!!!!!! why!:.( godI just give up agin!!!!!!!!!
yes, and this is his third surgery of the 2nd type of treatment (the more involved one)
The doctor feels really bad. We are leaving the stitches in this time for 6 weeks, cause he thinks because my dog is a head shaker (he has really really bad spring allergies) if we let it heal extensively with it taped back and secure, we might have better luck.
He used to get ear infections all the time too... but that I have under control from cleaning his ears 3 times a week.
Yeah, what gives? Kitch has beaten me in an arm wrestling contest every time I've tried. And I've seen KC give OTiS a swirley a few months back. Unfortunately, I've also seen Nick get his ass kicked by mucky. But then again, we all get our ass kicked by her so that isn't saying much against him.

It just really grates on me.
b.s. lawyers....
but the company next to us is moving...sounds like i'm in the movie Platoon or something...bang bang boom...louder than hell...i'm going nutz.

My coworker has her cell phone on, and every 2 or three minutes this annoying jingle goes off for her text messaging.
Add that to the chaos of the day, and it's really aggravating.
And there it goes again

Seriously. I'd give up my internet access at work if they agreed to shut their phone off during business hours.
And that's saying something.
But I still talk on it. I don't however shout. I talk on my regular phone quite a bit too. (non work)

I'm not really interupting anyone... infact if someone comes in my office, I'll get off the phone. (my office mate.. eh - not so much)
I am however on my phone... ALOT & if i'm not talking, it's texting, or I'm txting or there is email.. or.. IM etc.

3) have a disturbing dream last night.
Hangovers hurt more than they used to, thats for sure.

Its like a child....
Car's in the shop, I used their courtesy shuttle for a ride.
So, here I am, loyal to the last, and there's a non-disclosure/non-competition agreement sitting on my desk waiting for me to sign it. :eyeroll:
I feel insulted.
I think we should start a fightclub.
I got one of these things for my birthday -
Sorry your sick and sorry they don't appreciate you at work,
