I don't think the Circus is nearly as entertaining when the Ringmaster is dead...

I heard his casket was brought on stage AND I want to see his daughter at the end. I would probably skim through most of the rest.

I really liked what Eliza Manelli said about Michael and how he got to eat with dance stars like Frank Sinatra and such all the time and would ask them to show them moves. I enjoyed hearing about his DRIVE to learn and excel at something he did well and have the opportunities of just calling up other "famous" people who were great at what they did and just shoot the breeze and learn from them. I can't just call up Paula Abdul or Gene Kelly and say 'hey, come over for dinner and show me how you do a certain move'.... he didn't have to go to college for any of it. He got hands on from people who respected eachother. I can't just call up a famous treasure hunter on a ship and ask him to show me everything he knows on diving for sunken ships or Ben Stiller or the head of history at the Smithsonian to show me the archives. Michael calls them and he's in.

I still have that short MJ special hosted by Katie Curic.

Yet I am gone for 4 days and when I questioned why there are no copies of the mail reports in the electronic file she goes off on me about how stupid the system is and its not worth her time...

can't you reschedule court? When I took that guy that hit my car to court, he didn't even show up! Then he said he couldn't make it because of a personal problem and the rescheduled no problem. Of course if I didn't show it would have been thrown out. :coolfrown:

I dont think your job can LEGALLY fire you for attending a court date.

In some cases...if you don't show up for court than you get a warrant for your arrest and go to jail....what good are you to your job if youre in jail?

right, however if he goes to court and then the next day he gets fired....and he can prove they blatenly said to him outloud with a witness that IF you go to court and not work that youre fired? I think he has a case for unemployment to them firing him and not him quiting.

I would think there is something to protect a person for going to court PERIOD. I would think Government comes before job.

Actually what they said to him was that if he didn't show up they'd consider it his resignation. So they're saying that if he doesn't come they're assuming he's quitting.

<edit> well after months of not working.... Sarah went to Game Stop and purchased a new cord that has a pronged adapter next to the 3 red/yellow/white connectors - the cord that came with the WII didn't have that prong adapter. go figure. she plugged them all in to the back of the tv and it worked!

Personally I suggest YOU DO NOT TELL HIM YOU MISSED THE DATE!! Do not give them the satisfaction - let them squirm. I'm sure they have talked about it and are expecting a big confrontation. You just act like nothing has happened/show up like business as usual. Don't bring it up at all.
