Once again not getting a job I interviewed for....I SUCK At interviewing!! :frown:

I'm sorry LA. Interviewing is tough. You get about 45 minutes to an hour to sell yourself and doing it while answering their questions.

There are organizations and classes available just on interviewing techniques. If you are needing some help in that area, it might be a wise investment of time.

Anyone want to fess up to getting UNDER-charged for Wednesday dinner at Yarussos?

I put a call into Tony & Fred - I signed a receipt for $27 after tip, and when I checked my bank statement today there was a withdrawal for $49.60. Someone's card got crossed with mine.

Normally that wouldn't bother me because stuff like that happens when it's busy - but this is the 2nd time Yarusso's has goofed up a card transaction for me.

Check with a local library or Workforce Center. You might try the Dislocated Workers organization in the area as well. Even though you aren't unemployed, they may have some help or recommendations for you.

sorry Maddog, All my days get mixed together during a hunt, oh Wed - that was last week, I was probably there but Im too broke to spend that much money in one night right now.

It should be easy for Yarussos to fix that ....all they have to do is pull the charge receipts and see who they charged the 27 to.

The person who got charged the 27 probably doesnt even know it yet.

old hard discs dying that need to be replaced. fortunately, i'm one shipment away from having all of my new parts to replace both of my servers in the basement (which will keep the coolercrew site running for a long time to come).

That sucks. I remember it happening to you last year. But unless you ordered 23 7 and 7's I'm pretty sure I got the right receipt. :pbpt:

They can find that out pretty easily as long as the other person paid with a CC

It's a long overdue upgrade for me. The hardware is all here so it's now a matter of time and getting the last of the data off of the discs.

Irritates: target. We just got our 10% off certificate from the pharmacy rewards program. We used our target check card on Friday and then again on Sunday. Tonight those transactions naturally hadn't cleared the bank because of the weekend. We decided to really take advantage of the 10% and completely restock the house with groceries. $450 worth to be exact. The caveat with the discount: you have to use a target card. So we did. And it was summarily declined because of the outstanding transactions. Twice. And the asshat on the other end of the phone couldn't override it and there wasn't any management around to bitch at on the other end. What kind of financial institution doesn't have management around during business hours? Oh and said asshat also told me that no one could override it. Gee, I write software for a living, and there isn't a financial system in the world that doesn't have a way to override the computer. Why? Because computer downtime in the financial world costs about $10 million per hour. The funny thing is that target converts checks to the same eft's that the target check card uses. Do they honestly expect me to believe that they wouldn't have accepted a check tonight because the others hadn't cleared yet?

Asshats.

On the right side, the head cashier gave us the 10% discount so we could use our credit card and get the rewards ourselves.

Weather "persons" in San Antonio. Last time they said this it was 60F. Last time they said it would be 60F, it got no higher than 37. Texas weather. At least where you are, you have an IDEA of what will happen with the weather. Here, not so.

If this holds, I could get a day off. I'm hoping for one of these guys/gals to be right this time!

We stopped using our Target visa after they screwed us. We had one late payment in 6 years cuz the bill accidentally got stuck in a pile of junk mail, we called and made a payment over phone explaining the problem. Several months later our interest jumped from 12.9 to 24.9%. When we called to ask why they said we had a second late payment. The payment in question was mailed 7 days before it was due and they claim it was 1 day late. I'm not blaming the Postal Service because I AM THE POSTAL SERVICE, so the only luxury I have is that I can bring my bills to work and place them directly in the tray going to that city or company speeding the travel time. So I know from my job that about 94-98% of first class mail mailed from the TC metro going to TC metro will get there overnight. So this bill going from Saint Paul to Minneapolis would most likely get there overnight at the most 2 days. Yet they claim they received it 8 days after I put it in the tray going directly to their company...... yeah right. Bastards!

Okay. So....... my husband of 22 years (who I love dearly) has been bugging me for WEEKS to make spaghetti & meatballs. Got up this morning, prepared it, and it's cooking in the crockpot. He wanted it TODAY.

Then he sees a freakin' Pizza Hut ad and decides he wants PIZZA for the game (which I'd suggested in the first place). Good deal: any crust, any topping, any size (and I'm not a Pizza Hut fan), but I wish he'd seen the ad a few days ago!

So, my spaghetti sauce is simmering, & I'll put it in the fridge for later in the week.

I'm irritated at him. Not PO'd or anything, but irritated. Can't be PO'd since after my Mom got sick, he's been my rock. Just irritated that he didn't see that ad sooner!

Meals for a week, pizza & spaghetti. It's Italian week. :smile: I'll gain back every pound I lost in one week. Oh well. :crying:

take your pick which one is worse: having plans with your BF for valentines day, something simple, sushi, a walk and just a nice evening after he gets off work - having it all canceled because he is still AT work - thanks to a car full of drunk 17yr olds who had meth on them that he pulled over and he is still writing the report.

or

us planning for our 1 year anniversary tomorrow to take his kids to fairyland to have his mother invite herself along. To say her and I don't get a long is an understatment.
