Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
Actually it was not found on the blvd at Conway. It was lined up with a bench on the softball field, so it was indeed inside the sidewalk rather than the outer edge. But this one sounds like it might be on that outer edge.
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
And the tennis courts are right there.
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
Yes, I believe this is the case, the middle, may just be the middle.of the street to the sidewalk which is the Blvd. It was found in the snow bern Blvd at Conway, using a house number as direction. We searched the inside of that park all night. Never one touched the Blvd. 70s harriet island, searched the park, gi6 found it in parking lot snowbank berm... not actually in the park persay.

Local stone = limestone
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
Archie, I had the same thought, those house have big huge stone walls, and garages that go into them, very unique. And that local stone is anchoring much of it

I think it is going to be a combo of perseverance and luck. Holy moly….. chop chop chop. It would be fun to see a compilation of photos of peoples’ hand made tools they are using to try to chop the ice. I have seen some interesting ones. The spoils will either go to the fittest or the luckiest. I am sweating in all my gear. Good luck, everyone. Jone
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
This is tough digging! I wonder if it’s “set” in snow with water. There’s ice everywhere
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
If it is in the meadow East of the Rec center and West of the woods, it's gonna take a 12th clue to find it. That is just an ice rink. The dog and I made an attempt there yesterday, and we both nearly bit it three times!
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
Happy not birthday!
There’s a couple of homes on St Clair east of the rec center that have low walls built of what looks to be stacked stones- am thinking those may be the local stones bordering home? Maybe that serves as the visual marker across the street.

Ok, I should clear this up now. It's not my birthday. It's around this time, it was last Wednesday, but it's not now. But thanks anyway.
So I think this clue is telling us it's definitely not in the woods. It might well be on the bit of land between the sidewalk and the street. I suspect that is a spot most people would not go to look at it.
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
Just realized I didn't move my votes to Linwood. 10 on Linwood.
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10
Happy Birthday!
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #10

Is it your birthday, David? Happy Birthday! Thanks for posting the clue every night. I'll keep my 10 points on Linwood and guess 10 more (fictionally) that it'll be found by noon tomorrow. :)

A local stone borders the home;
Hunters should eye a visual center.
Stay off the street and kick your feet
It's in the snow that we did set her.
Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #9
Digging, in snow piles, is technically allowed, hard pack snow plow terms, but leave the ground alone, if it snowed on top of the puck, how would you find it without moving the snow? You have to dig somewhat, they dont always put it up in a crook of a tree, most times on the ground in some kind of item. If you ain't turning over snow, sticks, I dont think you'd succeed unless you move snow.
