Re: 2026 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt Clue #9
Thoughts on the dig:I went down and got dirty for about 3 hours. They are working on new buildings there so they want to showcase that. The Park itself is very icy, not a lot of snow, some areas have a snow pack of about 4 to 6 inches, and much of that has been turned, not all of it mind you but alot of it has. The ice, there is alot of it out in the center of the main field, literally have to be careful walking that. If the hider, chipped some of that away and planted it under it and re watered it? It would take forever to find that. Especially if we get any new snow that would cover that ice. Its about 1 inch thick of solid ice and its everywhere. Then there is the woods. Wow, there is way more woods than you would think, but crazily, the hunters that have been there, have really gone over the woods quite well, Which is having some hunters quite miffed at where it could be? Obviously the big trees with nooks, the piles of branches, obvious markers have been checked already. The best hunters have combed this area. I would not recommend ANYONE walk the woods unless you are younger and fit and have great balance. Even the hider, would have had alot of difficulty hiding the puck in many areas of the woods. I walked through and looked for tracks and not many fresh places, but there were a few. Ran into Kyle from the feed here, Hey Kyle! Also ran into the war room guy and he laid a sticker on me,, a Pioneer Press Official Hunter oval sticker, Thank You sir! Said he heard the song last night at like 2AM, LOL! I said that was mine! Ok, so thoughts, the snow bank berm from snowplows down the street has been touched a bit, but not alot. I tore up 1 big pile by the entrance and tackled another huge pile from snowplowing the parking lot, by the large trash can dumpster but didn't go all the way to the ground. Everyone is miffed. Alot of the woods is down a steep slope, so not everyone could even check that. The Park other than the woods, is not very big and alot of it is under construction, so I dont think they would hide it in the center of any of that. We need clues that pin point specifics within the park now. Tennis Court, Mushroom Garden, A few community Garden plot Areas, A mulching area. Larger Open area and lots of steep hilly woods.

Yes, Linwood is the park I've also been hinting about. Someone told me about Deubener on Clue 4 and I knew that had to be right. Then I figured out clue 2 and was more sure of it. That same person got the answer to clue 3 from someone she met in the park and there was zero doubt left. All three definitively point to Linwood. Once you have that, and start looking at the later clues through that lens, they aren't too hard to figure out. Unfortunately they have given us clues to things on every side of the park so it's not clear on where in the park to look. And even if you do have an idea, it's some pretty tough digging. With all the ice and the steep hill, I just hope everyone is careful out there. Otherwise this is shaping up to be an epic hunt. It's not often that someone claims to have a secret, correct park that no one else is talking about and it's actually true!
