Today's Clue: Smart and DISCERNING. which I took to mean that you had to be discerning about which school or which goal (football goalpost, hockey goal, etc.) to look for, meaning there's more than one. At Highland, the HS and Jr High are right together and the elementary school is a block away (except bordering the golf course). Maybe this is guiding us to one corner of the park instead of the other?
Yeah, These clues are like a goose chase. One park is as good as any other. Maybe some unknown or unpopular park or place? They really want to make it tuff.

Okay...here's an out-there theory. Are public schools considered to be public ground? Consider: Highland Park HS...it's a park, public ground. Hiding it on school grounds would be totally iconoclastic, double irony with Highlander idea. It would be the value in the new AND studying the past (nearby Highland Park 1st medallion site). And not too close to the action of sledding hills, scoreboard, etc. Am I nuts?
I live almost on como lake and i dont see too many clues fittng there. you can't just interpret "away from past" as being in a certain park so many years apart or together. I would say highland is a much better choice than come. Also stay away from the action, and the slide is at como.
I disagree Jorge. I also live near Como and I think all the clues fit the southeast area bordered by Chatsworth near Jessamine. Como Park has a golf course, but that area's not near it. It's not near the sledding or any of the other Winter Carnival action. The 950 block of addresses goes right through it, though you would have to estimate where 954 would be. Anyone who studied past treasure hunts would shy away from Como because it was there the year before last, unless they engaged in iconoclastic thinking. And the tower from Chelsea Heights school is visible from that area. Plus its the kind of open, yet obscure spot they seem to like hiding it in.
allison- i guess you make a good point. i guess it's too early to tell unless youre really on top of things. I just think the clue about the past is to obvious to mean it can be in a park twice within three years. Especially being that the clue was that early(#4). If it is there i understand because Como is definitely large
I think the score can either be tied into the fact that Como Park has softball fields, etc. or its a bizarre way of talking about addresses that they keep score of the houses and adorn the front doors.
I think the clues point to Como, though certainly not in an obvious enough way to send everybody flying over there and tearing the place up. I think last time it was fairly obviously Como by the fourth or fifth clue and the park definitely paid the price.

I think "adorns the door" is not a real door , but your entrance to the park. I had my ideas about NP but I'm placing my bets on HP.

I am trying to think about "things worth learning." But, I cant think of anything today that would correlate.

Iconoclast doesn't spell out locations or a coin lost as someone stated at one point. Iconoclast has two c's in it.

Don't you think the hiders would have to know where its exact location is? Like how many paces from a certain point, landmark, whatever.
I higly doubt they would put it on school grounds. Especially being that school is still in session.
