Deputy Hawthorne got called to the Little League Park in Evadale. Seems several ladies got into a fight. All kinfolk. Still trying to work this out. A lady videoed the whole mess. Would make a good video on COPS.
If I had to do a blind rendition of what I thought he looked like, it would have been exactly like that picture. Except he'd have a silver cap where that bad tooth is.
Received a call from a concerned citizen who thought he had found some bags of marijuana. Appears that a neighborhood kid dried some weeds and placed them in bags and put them on the county road just to see who would pick them up.
Got a call out Thursday night about a shooting west of Jasper. Three men were very lucky. They were riding around in a pickup smoking crack. One pulled out a 9-mm and started shooting inside the truck. They started fighting over the gun, ran off the road and got stuck. Out of 8-10 shots fired, nobody got hit. Serious charges filed.
We received several calls of out-of-control kids this last week. Everything from choking a brother, putting fists through walls, jumping on parents and stealing grandparents' vehicles. I'm told you've tried everything. How about church?

Had someone kick in a door and went in the house. The owner has a talking bird. The bird got to screaming and hollering and the bad guy left. Good bird. Stupid burglar.

The second was a teenage Scout working on his Navigation Scout Badge. He was lost and then he was found. Good job to everyone involved.
