I was with Como for a long time for the same reasons, but at some point you have to wake up and smell the desperation.

Allison: What time did you leave the park tonight? Any campers there? News crew? About how many people?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:50 AM Permalink

allison you underestimate yourself. ive been on here for at least an hour and you seem to have a really good handle onthese clues. you are quite smart when it comes

to these clues

There are a few round, white things that are pulled tight, but the only thing in which that is a covering that I can think of is a baseball/softball.

I left at 2:30, "MAYBE" 35-40 people scattered

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:51 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

oh yeah here...was there any famous man named pederson?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:51 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I believe I left around 1:45. There were still a lot of people there, though I didn't see signs of camping. I didn't see any news crews either. And thanks Gordon.

A golf ball is made up of several rubber bands for a core FYI

the streets surrounding are conway...wilson...pederson..and ruth and of them famous besides wilson?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:53 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

No Pederson's famous enough to make into my dictionary's list of biographical names.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:54 AM Permalink

Babe Ruth

ok explain this to me..in highland where do you see a large red object in the sky?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:55 AM Permalink
gordon c

no prob allison just telling the truth

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:55 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

You could claim Tim Conway is famous. Babe Ruth was certainly famous. Anyone know the address of Yankee Stadium? There is also a Howard St. just to the

east, if you want to call it a border. Old Hudson Rd. is just one block away and I believe Henry Hudson was THE famous man to whom they refer.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:56 AM Permalink
gordon c

maybe ruth is being taken from the bible

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:57 AM Permalink

quarry???

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:57 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Midway Stadium's address isn't 954, is it?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:58 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

yearning for learning would have to be the library.....

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:58 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Quarry is something you seek, especially in a hunt.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:58 AM Permalink
DaBrewMan

quarry= something persued: chased

Ian: Were you digging/hunting by the baseball fields or on top of the hill? Anyone notice the sidewalk/bike path from Library parking lot to Conway? Any idea where

it leads to.. It is covered with snow...Any body sholved it yet?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:59 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

maybe 954 has something to do with the clues 9 5 4 ????? just a guess I am running out of ideas here

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 3:59 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

It wouldn't give a address for Yankee Stadium

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:10 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I was thinking more in terms of stadiums in the sense of numbers keeping score.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:11 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

I think I'm going to bed...my brain is toast...Highland, or Conway is my guesses.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:11 AM Permalink
No user inform…

Allison, what about the post at conway park that measures peoples height? the #s are 3,4.5.&6. that's 4 & 5 and add 6+3 =9------ 9,5,4,??????? If I find it I will

pay your next mos rent cuz you've been abig help. You really know your stuff!!!!

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:13 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

hello?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:13 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

I've said this all night SCOREboards for baseball usually have 9 spots for the scores in the each inning, so theres 9...then they usually have 5 circles representing the

ball/strike count you know, 3 balls, 2 strikes at most aka full count...then some scoreboards show who's on what base...and there is 4 bases.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:13 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Or is there possibly a game with a front door where those numbers are significant? I can't think of how to tie a game or sport in with a front door at the moment.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:14 AM Permalink
gordon c

think you might have something there with that midway stadium because it looks on my map that the 960 block runs right through midway stadium (

north south)

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:14 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

I'm guessing those numbers have to do with the scoreboard, and also a door

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:15 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

I just meant the address to the communtity center you said was 2090..the heritage estates address is 2040 and bradley house apartments address is 2150...unless

there is a 2050 on conway ave...

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:15 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Your theory isn't bad Jason, one of the better ones I've heard, but how does it relate to a front door?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:15 AM Permalink
gordon c

yes she really does know her stuff .

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:17 AM Permalink
Kristine Harris

ughhhhh..all the rest of the clues fit conway fine

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:17 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

There is no 2050 Conway because the park (er, rec center) is on the even side of that street in that area of addresses.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:17 AM Permalink
gordon c

front ave turns into energy park and it is also the 9 60 block.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:18 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

This involves too much thinking.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:18 AM Permalink
DaBrewMan

Do they have Disc golf at conway??

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:18 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I know the other clues fit Conway, but I want to solve this one hoping it will tell me where to dig. And one correction Gordon, Allison is my last name. David is my

first.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:18 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

No golf at Conway at all. In fact, there is a No Golfing sign there.

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:19 AM Permalink
gordon c

sorry you still know your stuff

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:20 AM Permalink
DaBrewMan

Are you the David from WCCO radio??

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:20 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

No, I'm a KQRS kind of guy. Why is there a David Allison on WCCO?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:21 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

I think we all need to search for a legitimate Anagram...cause I'm guaranteeing there is one...Or some kind of word riddle, like the first letters in each clue

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:23 AM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Was anyone planning on staying up much longer, or should we all just go to bed?

Mon, 02/01/1999 - 4:23 AM Permalink
Jason Kluenenberg

Newell would fit the Anagram "But theres value as well, in the new"
