Evildoer's Adage: A hinge in the woods is as good as two on the door.

How's that, slim?

It's been hard to get out to the parks this year.  I've been itching to get to GW or PP this year and meet the crew face to face.  I'm hopeful that I'll be out tomorrow night.

They don't know where the medallion is any more than we do. We can't read anything into whether or not the gates are closed, or whether or not they're giving tickets or kicking folks out.

FOund this noodle on another site- sounds good.

The grove that once hid us is referring to the Sioux Indians who hid out on Crosby in the vast areas or groves of trees

and this one: You need to look at your map of the park and start plotting these reference points that we have been given. Let’s list them, Upper Lake (blue pond), walking path (starts at the parking loop), Yarrow (near parking), pavilion (cross-country trail starts there), then the Nature center. You can draw a line through all these and figure between this area and the river you have now narrowed a section of the park.

Hello - Been sleeping most of the afternoon.

The hinge thing is about when Ian spent a bazillion hours searching, and only found a hinge. I say that the rules do not state the new medallion CAN'T be a hinge, so maybe Ian has it.

Terra Server did not show me where the medallion is hidden, no matter how closely I zoomed in. :(

I just read an interesting noodle at the PP Board.  "Kicked of the island, to a grove that once did hide us".  The hunt (medallion) was kicked off Harriet Island, and now it's hidden at a place where it's been before?

Hi C.  I spent some time there this afternoon.  Mostly did a little sledding and babysitting though while some of my kids hunted.  Did see an eagle soaring in the sky though.  That was pretty.

I cannot believe there's little to no info on the Crosby Farm at all! I know it was named something else before Crosby took it over because I remember seeing it... ugh!

I'm not sure about any insights from the picture, although it's interesting nonetheless. Some of those trees down there look to be so old. And yet it seems like so much of the area was farmland at one point.

boy, this Crosby park leaning reminds me of the hunt 2 years ago when everyone, me included, fit every clue there was into Harriet and it turned out to be Como, so this thing has happened before.

I was at Twins fest all day, so just catching up.

Tell me when it was hidden in Ravine Park in CG, and I'm right behind you. ;)   However, the last time it was in HI was 1996 and the following year was hidden in Como.  Just noodling folks, don't tease me please.

Saw lots of cooler heads today! Ian, Downtown Dave, Winnebago Bill, Camo Dan and freinds, OT (my mentor), Wanda, Dersy (I think), Mucluck, Trent, Leelabell, Scribe, THX1138, Their kids, Big G, Tim The Hunter, Pops, med2k, me2, Chris Digger, Camo Sean, and LA Mommy and Daddy. Hope I didn't miss any one and sorry if I did. Been a long day (8am to 6 pm) and a lot of people are helter skelter with these clues. Hope someone finds it so I don't have to be so pissed off next week about working. Hopefully I'll still be able to hunt some, but have a feeling they'll force me into overtime besides my regular hours.

thing is, I have vacation. They just won't let me use it. Pretty sad considering they just laid off people and were going to do the same to me. I'm only "extended" for a month.
