Almost forgot -- those were both cool pictures, MM! Was I that disoriented on the one of the park.....are we looking toward downtown? Or toward the airport....from the position of the pons & lake I thought it was facing East, but there is NO downtown skyline in view...
Maybe you can think of name that you want to be called. It's kind of fun to make up your own name. And then you can just sign it at the bottom of your post.Â
I think it's saying it's in the woods along the ski trails. I think the shelter may actually mean that sheltered bench at the crossroads. I think Homer is a street name meant to give us an area and I think they've given us another street name too which outlines not too large of an area.
People are getting really upset with each other about the Crosby/not Crosby theories. Here's hoping tonight's clue is indisputable. But, looking at last year's clues, we probably won't get a clue that can't be interpreted a bazillion different ways until tomorrow night.
I've been to the PP discussion boards, the Coolertimes chat room, and here, and nothing's buzzing. Everyone must be napping before tonight's clue, or out digging...
I've been out looking at Crosby since clue 4 and today I was in the area near the sheltered benches so I'm not saying it's not there. I'm just not convinced yet. I think I just dont want it to be there so I'm trying to find a way to totally rule it out. Also dont completely trust the writers after the Clue 11 turnaround in 2003
Wooden ships, that could well be it for one of the clues, except it will draw people towards the marina. Even if it said that, people would still find ways to fit it to other parks if they really wanted to. I'm waiting for a crossroads sort of clue, or something about a bridge.
I think we did 2003 to ourselves because no one thought it *could* be at Como, so no one tried to fit the clues there. I know I read about the triple E on the gate and simply chose to ignore it because I "knew" it wouldn't be at Como again.
I think we are at a point now that we have one of the clues that tells us what it is hidden in. It's tough trying to figure out which clue it is though, which line is meaningless meant for a rhyme, and which has more meaning.
Merriam could have been a fun hunt with about a foot of snow. People were just starting to show up there on Clue 6 when someone almost literally stumbled on it.
Did anyone go down to see Zeph get knighted?Â

Sounds like a CSN & Y song on the radio right now. Might be titled "Helpless". How strangely appropriate at this hour.
I really like the farm scene. That was taken in 1906. Looks kind of like Ma and Pa Kettle On the Farm.Â
Almost forgot -- those were both cool pictures, MM! Was I that disoriented on the one of the park.....are we looking toward downtown? Or toward the airport....from the position of the pons & lake I thought it was facing East, but there is NO downtown skyline in view...
With Crosby being such a big park, you would think they would have it narrowed down to an area of the park by now
OH!  If it was 1906 - and not sometime in the 50's that would make some sense!

I think the arial view was taken in 1946. Just about the time of the building boom after WWII.Â

Who says they haven't? Maybe it's on how you interpret the clues.
I guess! There's not too many things at the park to really reference in the clues. I still am not convinced Crosy thoough.
The music clue will say Crosby Stlls Nash And Young "wooden ships" meaning the marina.
sorry I'm slow. I'm really dragging tonight.
Here's where you find them. Hope this works.Â

It's there

Outta's Daughter
It works for me. If you get in there you ought to look at Battle Creek in the old days. Pretty wild.
People may be out digging, partying, or catching up with other stuff before the weeks starts.
Later, C
Well, it worked for me when I typed it in my address bar. I didn't try to click on the link I posted.

Try it again. I had a typo.

or a "down at the boardwalk" clue?
[Edited by Michele30 on Jan 30, 2005 at 06:35pm.]
I better get ready to go if I am going. Bye all. Good Luck!
Maybe, although I don't think it will be that close to the boardwalk since that's close to the water's edge.
Good luck, Mr.Mikey.

It's hidden in nothing. It's naked.
Oh my, scandalous.
it kind of worry's me that it's naked. It's like a dang needle in a haystack... 'specially under all the post-hiding snow.
Merriam could have been a fun hunt with about a foot of snow. People were just starting to show up there on Clue 6 when someone almost literally stumbled on it.
There are only so many things at Crosby to write clues about. There has to be at least a couple of dud clues.
