I believe it's the big downed tree that went across the path that everyone is figuring is thetree in the woods.

Thanks OT.  This is reminding me of that skit Johnny Carson used to do with the fork in the road and his pointing stick...  LOL

Has your pic been posted yet?

About 100 yards farther down that path is another huge tree on the left of the path.  I believe it will be somewhere between the 2.

that's funny cause i thought the same thing as i started to read it, and then i was "oh, nevermind that's not a clue." i think we're all losing it.

Just got back from Crosby.  The two big trees (the giant in the path and the one with the downed branch just past it - around the bend) seem to be the hot spots that a lot of people are digging at.

couldn't "remains of a tree" also mean something made from wood--also the "remains of a tree"?

Parking lot leads past

woods and weeds

To the trail passing two

and three

The lake of ice, the life-

saving device

Are close to our magical

tree

Yes.

Could also be a stump in the ground?

I'm guessing it's closer to the marina.  Usually it's where no one has been digging much.

I've been monitoring the hunt from my desk at Frontier Hall since Opening Night, and everyone always gets real punchy around this time every ight.

The 2 and 3 is on the right fork.  Where is the life saving device?

Mon, 01/31/2005 - 10:33 PM Permalink

Not many people were digging on that path.

I'm sure we all have bad memories of fake clues.

I'll never forget a few years ago when I lived Downtown someone gave a fake one so I went up to the Capitol grounds - no one else was there but hey at least I got out and looking...

Nothin' worse than a fake clue. I don't mind if someone tells me if they think it is at a park to steer me in a different direction - alls fair in the hunt, but when given a wrong clue you don't get the choice to decide for yourself what you would like to do, anyway...

it's gotta be a life preserver, or life boat near marina. but no public beach at Crosby??

ThoseMedallingKids

The bitch of it is that the life saving device has been taken down from the tree it's supposed to be on.  I don't know if it's been put back in it's right place or not

Obviously, the 2 and the 3 must be the "figures in your pursuit" the clue writer referred to in an earlier clue.  I was wondering how that figured into this.
