These were taken only 20 minutes before the storm came through. I didn't even know there was a storm coming. I could see the humidity changing through the lense as I took the photos. It began to sprinkle as I finished taking pictures. By the time I got home it was pouring. My girls went out and played in it.
These are from The Smith St Highbridge.
and 1 from my run about an hour prior to the storm.
Hey - What gives with your avatar? I can't see who you are.
me2 could you e-mail me a jpg of IslandStationfromLilydale?
It would make a cool illustration
It's poetry in motion.
You to CM!
Sounds kinky!
thank you sir may I have another...
Lemon pledge must taste horrible.
Thanks, here is some more. Bull Shoals Dam, a small part of Bull Shoals Lake and Bull Shoals Lake in the Oakland area.
THX - Prolly the funniest part of that flick. Egg-Za-Lent!
I watched Revenge of the Sith and 8 Crazy Nights on DVD tonight with the kid. The copy I have of Star Wars 3 is unbelievable DVD quality. Got it the second day it came out! I'm thinking George himself put it out there this time since it's such good quality and sound. I'll still buy it when it comes out. And I'm sure he knows that too. Geeks like us have to keep our collection in tact.
Also watched a show on CBS called Fire Me or something like that. Pretty funny. A reality show where people try to get themselves fired from a brand new job before 3pm on their first day. Good summer concept show.
I'm not too homophobic to admit that I'm watching Brittney and Kevin right now tho :sheepish:
"Fire Me", although it was funny, i think is kinda sucky though... while theres people out here trying super-hard to get new and better jobs, people are making TV shows about people purposely trying to LOSE their job?
Got a good
I need to find a nice high point that I can get some storm shots though. No city lights and no trees.
I have some low areas out west by me that work. I've heard the Mall of America parking garages works as well for southern storms.
Looking forward to that.
I'm going discin' Sunday for Father's Day. My Father's Day dinner is always on Saturday for All-you-can-eat crab legs. MMMM -MMMMMMM
I know you'll have a great time otIs
My Grandmother loves riding on the St Croix. The food isn't bad either. So I'm glad to see nice weather in the plans.
As for todays plans - after I head out this morning and get some "dish" addresses I'll be taking the boys to see Batman
me2 can I illustrat a couple of your photos? :ooh:
No, it's just an animated gif.
Bull Shoals Lake
Haven't heard of Bull Shoals in a long time. Used to go there once in awhile when I lived in MO. That and Lake of the Ozarks.
To be honest with you, I don't like those lakes much. They're pretty nasty compared to MN lakes. It's beautiful country though.
There are a few overall spots in Colorado I enjoyed. Of course I was born there so I'm bias.
Haven't had the pleasure of fishing/boating in Montana yet so no opinion there but I've heard lots of good things for them as well.
Florida = nastiest lakes I know.
What? You can see into the water more than 20 feet. The bottom is rock not mud like in MN, so the water is clear not muddy. Also, some of these southern MN lakes (Byllesby, French, etc.) get that green shit floating in them, not so in Bull Shoals. Great fishing also. At least it is that way in the Arkansas part of the lake near the dam, I don't think that I have ever seen the Missouri part of the lake though.
Why do you think it is nasty?
I don't recall that. I recall the lakes there being muddy and smelly. I remember the first time I went to Lake of the Ozarks, I was like "People swim in this?".
Oh, and it was Table Rock lake I was thinking of that's also down on the border of AR, not Lake of The Ozarks. Lake of the Ozarks is north of Springfield.
Honestly, the only good lake I remember down there was Lake Springfield, which was actually a reservoir for the city of Springfield.
Like I said, maybe in Missouri, but definitely not in Arkansas. Very rocky soil.
Somewhere Out There
An American Tale Soundtrack
Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinkin' of me
And loving me tonight
Somewhere out there
Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there
And, even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishin'
On the same bright star
And, when the night wind starts to sing
A lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
And, even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishin'
On the same bright star
And, when the night wind starts to sing
A lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through (love can see us through)
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
This was from the bonfire last night in my backyard ~ you can see the moon in the sky -next to it was a planet (star)
