no, but where did the ice and snow xcome from... Phalen wasn't producing this year was it??

I am not putting much into what I just posted, but it may come in handy just in case later... Only reason I posted it...

If it is indeed in a wrapper that would be visible in any way, don't you think it would have a hefty chance of being thrown away if it were at Rice Park?

Zephy - I think you have a good point. That would put the medallion at Central Park in Roseville near where the snow sculptures will be.

I wonder if we'll really be outside the city limits. I think it's a strong possibility knowing this was going to be a meltdown Winter Carnivl. It would be smart of the hider to put it where we either haven't been for awhile or ever within the city, or somewhere in the 'burbs.

I agree...that was a good noodle!

I had my mock hunt at Central this year. I've walked it a number of times, and it's really big. Lots of places to hide it if they wanted.

That's it!! TMK... where have we had our mock hunts this past year? The cluewriter must be following us around (I mean us as in collectively, as I haven't ever done a mock hunt)... But seriously, maybe they are...

Every year that the clues don't specify St Paul, I always convince it's at Central Park. Alas, I predict I'll be disappointed once again... :frown:

You sure did Julie. But you were a couple after me and IM was still open. I've always liked Central and Acorn for out-of-city hides.

Welcome to the crew!!! The only question ya really need to ask is.. ya dig? If ya get an answer you know you're talkin to one of the CC. Happy hunting and good luck!

I was at Highland today, I checked out the woods above West 7th. There is plenty of snow there. Also, I had a great view of people at Pearson's across the street being herded away by security  I saw a couple other coolerheads there (at Highland, not at Pearson's), but since I'm terrible at names I don't remeber who.

And we all look different winterized than when we are in street clothes. It's okay to ask...You dig? If it's someone from the Crew, they will understand and probably stop long enough for introductions.

Am I the only one having trouble navigating this new site? It seems like every time I go back to a discussion I get brought to a different part of the thread. Slogging is really difficult.

Anyone have any pointers to make it run better?

(It may be tomorrow by the time I can figure out if anyone responds...)

Stallion!!!!!

Each thread is named - you're now in the 2006 St. Paul Winter Carnival Medallion Hunt thread.

If you are looking to refresh the page, it's the same as it always has been since the old PP days. Just click on the first number (3164 of 3165) You'd click on the 3164.

If you are having other weird stuff happening, you'll have to be more descriptive so we could help you out.

barefootguy

When you are done reading a thread, click the glasses icon to mark the whole thing as read. That, way, when you come back to it you will be brought to where you left off.

You're not the only one. I'm still perplexed by the new site.

click the glasses icon

ah, i've been wondering what that was

mystical_muzik

You get used to it eventually. I had a heck of a time when I first came here too.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:02 PM Permalink
MedallionStallion

I don't see a glasses icon...
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:02 PM Permalink
Terry

barefootguy - what I gather from your post is that if you come into a thread and read part of it, but there are unread posts, if you come back to it later, it sends you back into old stuff, right?

If that's the case, when you get back out to the list of threads, click on the little glasses icon you'll see there. That marks the thread as read and you'll not have that trouble again.
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:02 PM Permalink
mystical_muzik

Shhhhh *mom*'s in the house... lol we all have 2 b good now!
Mon, 01/23/2006 - 9:03 PM Permalink
Terry

Stallion, go back to the full list of threads.

The middle column shows how many unread posts there are in each thread.

To the left of that - just past the line should be the glasses icon.

Is there away to set the number of posts on a page? I can only view three at a time then have to hit "More". It makes slogging painfully slow.

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the time zone from pacific to central?

Click "All".
