Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

"Round you go if you seek to know

Where swatters of orbs are beckoned"

it's with Rusty Kath at Midway Stadium. I think he's sitting in the hot tub.

I hate this clue.

--Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder

To hunt hard from first to last clues--

Maybe something in each clue that tells us exactly where it is...need to use all clues?

another thought on get warm and smell sweet- fire pit, I love the way my clothes smell after a bonfire!

funny you say that i always wanted one something like that.

another thought on what its hid in- I don't necissarily think it is something you would find on hand at the pp. When we were doing mock hunts we had a box of different things that a coin could be hidden in (still have it). The CW might just have a whole drawer of things to hide a coin.

although doesn't matter too much, as was stated earlier-we check anything we might find.

I'm going to get ready to head out. Maybe I'll look for the medallion. Maybe I'll look for a hiding spot for my mock hunt diamond. I'm carrying it with me in case anyone wants to see it prior to the hunt.

park where a body can be benched- a bench would hold bodies, a chair would hold one.

woodsy retreat= log home= coins home is a hollow (maple) log

Sucess on the third clue will never do

We had to stash a second

K.I.S.S. would be jakes find on clue 3

but

to me I dont think they mean 2007 hunt 1

I think they mean clue 3 of the second hunt

to me I have been thinking todays clue is 6 not 3,

so if you go to clue 3 (3rd paragraph in clue 1) see there second stash .. hmmm

A park to hold bodies makes me think of the line from Analyze that: "Look at this trunk, you could hold 3 bodies in that."

Another baby??? Man, he didn't waste any time... Too bad for her sister though...

Next year for sure, even for just one day... would be nice to see him again. I can see him getting addicted to this. And if you gave him a spot, and he was motivated.... I bet he could outdig Jake...

I've seen the parks lots of people go to get them... Not necessarily the right parks.

Just got back from all day appts. just caught up with the board. Why mention orb swatters and benched bodys twice, they apparently mean two different things other than sports.

me either, that worries me a bit, but at this point I am staying with como untill something else leads me out of there.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 11:59 AM Permalink
Brassmonkey

What I hate about Como is that the CW can dance around the hiding spot for 50 clues if he wanted to. There are so many roads monuments sections and places to hide and reference. it is just a nightmare.

zephyrus

No, that's not it... I just got it hot off the 2:04 press...

I will lead you there, Fair and square

to the park where it is hidden.

My game is in the bag, I've been oh, so vague

It's not where you've been sittin.

To find the puck, you'll need some luck

and a compass, two or three.

Now there is one way, that you could find it today,

And that's if you'd have followed me.

It was good to see you too! I will be even more liquored up tonight so watch out for the dirty knock-knock jokes! I was just at Central Park and I know that many will call me crazy, but it is only because I don't think it is hidden in St. Paul. I know that it hasn't been hidden there before and it isn't in the map book. The CW's know that we use these things and with a short hunt, I am sure that they were thinking what would give them the best advantage. Sure, the clues match Como. I think that is what they are banking on and like someone said earlier, they could have us there for 50 clues. Just some thoughts, now it is time for a twinkie.

Cooler... would like to hear some of the jokes...

Was just thinking, and I don't remember seeing it posted...

But a bummer used to be an expression in the flower power time-frame to represent a bad trip...

In my confused state, I think it may possibly have something to do with the Trolley.. since it is bad you cant take a trip there anymore... In case anyone is drawing lines for anything...

I keep reminding myself that they hid the medallion on Tuesday night. No new snow has fallen, so they couldn't just hide it anywhere. It would have to be in a woody area, under something, in tall grass or up in a tree. Thoughts?

Clue Master

but after three clues has made no reference at all to St. Paul

I really don't think they will say it's in St. Paul even if it is. It's in their best interest to keep the doubt alive and keep people spread out as much as possible. Personally I think it'll be in St. Paul. If this was THE year to move it back out it would have been done on Hunt #1. And as I'm not a big CoNo fan, I'm sticking with IM until I'm directed otherwise.

So... I have a kid that would rather play Lego Star Wars on playstation than go look for a medallion in the snow. Other than pick him up and throw him in the car... does anyone have any suggestions??
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 2:07 PM Permalink
OTiS

I would let him know that upon cashing the $5,000 dollar check he would be given a chance to pick out any one of the many Star Wars lego sets at the MOA lego store.....

That would do it in a heartbeat.

And is it Lego I or II? You could offer a chance to get the second game too... probided you find it  :goofy:

Yer good OTiS!!

Z-Man "Hey Z... if we go and find the medallion, you can pick out any Star Wars Lego thing you want!"

Z-Kid "Even if I don't go?!?"

Z-Man "No, if you come and help find it, and we do find it, then you can get any one you want."

Z-Kid "How about after this mission..."

Thanks dude!

Thing that sux is that he is good at that game, and this mission could last another 45 minutes or so...

I was just planning on taking them out for an hour or two...

I remember that concussion night at Newell, Eags. You cut yourself too.

This is a good clue 6 hunting day. But we're only on clue 3. I sure am going to be waiting for tonight's clue.
