I JUST CALLED PARKS AND REC. IN ROSEVILLE...THEY ARE PISSED....
THEY SAID THEY ARE GOING TO SEND A BILL TO P.P. AND THE FOUNDATION IF ANY DAMAGES MADE TO THE PARK...
THEY SAID THEY ARE WATCHING....AND THEY WILL EVEN "TRY" TO CLOSE THE PARK IF NEEDED.
ONLY PLACE THAT DOES....OH NEVER MIND...I KNOW HOW 2 DO THAT...

The cops suck...
Didnt run into anybody else out there, but we were harassed by cops 6 times overnight...
the first guy was cool... he said that we should leave, so I showed him the clues...and he goes: "S**t! It is here then huh? Well, I'm a nice guy, so I'll let you hang out, but the other guys might not be so cool"...
....wished us luck, and was on his way.
About a half hour later, 3 more squads rolled in, spot lighted us, guns drawn, put your f'n shovels down (yeah, they swore), etc....
They didnt want to listen to reason, or that I already explained whats up to another cop - "Leave now, or you're in trouble"....
My response was: "I guess i'm in trouble then", and then I resumed digging....
Thought they were going to come after me, but they just sat there for another 20-25 mins in their cars, watching us, and eventually left.
a few other cars came and went, while we were there.... but none of the rest flashed guns at us...

since I/We didnt make it down for the paper, we needed a clue....
we decided to hit Super America, on Rice Street.... not realizing that it was near 1:30-2:00 in the morning, and they probably wouldnt have the new edition of the paper yet....
and they didnt...
we messed around with the speedy rewards card machine thing (it wanted me to do a survey, for 50 extra points), and then we got some snacks for the park....
on our way out the door, the PP delivery guy showed up....
I think I found my new way to get the clues :goofy: :wink:
That clinches it for me. I'm spending the rest of this hunt at my computer. Worst thing that can happen is I get carpal tunnel.
Its a shame too....
spend so many hours in my lifetime, out in parks looking for the medallion, and I dont have any cool scars to show for it. :eyeroll:
I think they need to clarify, with the hunters and the cops, where its ok to be.
Sure don't want anyone getting "cuffed and stuffed" - or worse!

I don't think they could even draw their gun if you were digging in the park in the middle of the night in the middle of summer.
It's not that I don't believe you, I just find it highly unlikely is all.
If anything, IA would be getting a call ASAP if that were the case. Because that was definitely NOT standard operating procedure.
