Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

Hey OTiS - Please let Jake and 3M know that I'm heading down there now. I had to soak my feet a bit first. Boy what a difference. Still sensitive but I feel like they're not getting worse anyway. It looks like I put on the old Moon Boots tonight. Those other ones are shot and not designed for hunting anyway.

And if the people who were driving around screaming at 7:45 had actually found it, it would surely be reported by the PP by now.

Come On Down

is the first album by the band Green River, released on Homestead Records in 1985. Cited by many as being the very first grunge record, Come On Down pre-dated both the legendary C/Z Records compilation Deep Six as well as the Melvins' debut album. This record also marks Green River's only record with original guitarist Steve Turner (later of Mudhoney).

I saw Cluemaster, Me2, MMM, Lilman, Outta, Regman, and a few others. It is fun to run into familiar faces in the park as opposed to those suburban teens with too much money and time and not enough common sense. Back in my day we didn't have games like Nintendo Wii, we had to play chew the bark off a tree. That's the way it was and we liked it!

Not slogged through yet, but here is something about the Barker Gang, as you mentioned them earlier...

Freddie and Alvin Karpis move to Minnesota where they hijack cigarette and whiskey shipments, steal clothing, and crack safes.

Anyone know where?

The son of their west St. Paul landlady finds pictures of Freddie and Karpis in a detective magazine and notifies the police. Harry Sawyer, an underworld "fixer", hears of the impending raid and notifies the gang, which retreats to Kansas City.

They were in the area...

Ma decides that bank robberies pose too much of a risk to her boys, so she helps them plan the kidnapping of St. Paul brewer William A. Hamm, Jr. The Barkers, Karpis, Monty Bolton, Fred Goetz, and Charles Fitzgerald demand and get a $100,000 ransom. Hamm turns up three days after his abduction, alive and well, forty miles north of St. Paul. Chicago bootlegger Roger Touhy is apprehended by the FBI and tried for the crime. The boys hijack the $30,000 Swift Company payroll in St. Paul with Karpis, Devol, and Fitzgerald. They kill one policeman and wound another.

Doc receives a life sentence for kidnapping and bank robbery. He becomes Prisoner #268 at Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary.

1980

Karpis' prison memoir, On the Rock, (cowritten by Robert Livesey) appears.

Good Evening!

I had to make a trip to Roseville to check on my Mom...she had left her phone off the hook and we were worried. She's fine.

While out there, I did go through the lots at Central to check the goings on. All told from all the lots, approximately 100 cars.

Checked Acorn - 1 car.

Just in case youz were wondering.

My thought is they should of hauled in some Porta-Potties given the amount of people there. I don't have a problem hitting the bushes, but when there are people crawling all over the place it is nearly impossible to get out of sight. Some times you can anticipate future usage of a restroom, but not always. The grass should grow greener come this Spring in Central Park.

PP board. funny as heck!

When they had the hunt at Crosby I don't recall any extra porta-potties. In fact, if I remember right, some kind of Yeti used the one they did have and it wasn't pretty. Now we know why Chili's scrapped their All-You-Can-Eat Fajita bar!

Thanks. It's a thing she's done once in awhile. You figure that's what's up...but one never knows until you get there.

She was watching television oblivious to the fact that some of us were worried.

Crosby=big tree off of the trail by the rescue devices

Tonight=somewhere west of victoria :angry:
