Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available.

Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

thanks Mike!!

I am so excited about this

I keep hearing the stories and it happens to me personally so much that I think a log or story should be written, along with who saw who in the parks and fun stuff like the 2 time golden ticket finder and the north St Paul finder -running into both in Como and then again next to me at Central! I've had a great time digging hard and talking with so many people during this hunt - one of those times that I enjoy life.

I have been watching this board and the cooler crew for a while now and posted a few times in the past years, but this is the first time I really started posting and meeting people. I had a great time and look forward to meeting the rest of you soon. During the "off season" I usually dont post but I will try to drop by and participate in one of the mock hunts.

With regards to the first hunt, I have always acknowledged that Jake was the one to dig up the puck and find it and he acknowledged that I pointed him in the right direction. Im glad for Jake and I dont want anybody to think other wise and I have never tried to discredit him. Becuase I didnt dig up the puck I thought I did the honorable thing and turned down the money and the chance for more press.

I hope everyone has a great year and I will surely talk to everyone in the 2008 Hunt.

Brass Monkey - you can't disappear for a whole year. Stick around. Do a mock hunt or three. Shoot the Breeze and enjoy some new friendships.

There are multiple folders/discussions that get visited all year here besides the hunt discussion. This folder usually dies down after the hunt, so go ahead and move up a level and check things out. I personnaly like the cooler crew pictures thread, and the Wampeters threads.

Just click on the refugee camp link below

or try here to see what else is here.

Hey everyone!

Kat has 5 or 6 advance tickets ($15) for the Vulcan Victory Dance Saturday night that are for sale.

She bought 10 so that we could meet the requirement to reserve a table (reserved under "Cooler Crew") and 4 or 5 of them are spoken for. I assume Kat will check this thread but you can always call me, too, and I can get the word to her...

I finally caught up on all that went on here while I was in line....

I'm really happy I chose to be at the press, I did the Como mad dash, the Phalen mosh pit, just not for me....I love the hunt but the final clue in the park ruins the hunt for me....being able to help out and get the clue clearly to a large group of people I feel "part" of the hunt without having to worry about getting hit in the head with a shovel.

This was a wonderful year for the crew!

Has anyone seen Slim on today? I'm semi worried about her...I know the hunt is over but I would have expected her to make an appearance here today at least, why am I semi worried? Last night when I dropped her off she had a tiny contraction she actually had to stop and go ohhh with as she started walking up to her place...I'm sure running in the park didn't help much but I sent her a PM last night to make sure she was ok and I still haven't heard from her and I called tonight and no one was home...I'm really hoping I'm over reacting and its nothing.

I wonder if she's posted at the PP board. She's punckin or something like that over there.

I haven't read anything over there since I got home last night so don't know if she's posted over there today.

I don't post over there so I wouldn't know...I just wasn't sure if anyone had heard from her or seen her on today at all I know she hasn't posted at all I've been checkin

I hope she's okay.

I just realized as I was going through my usual hunt routine this evening...dinner, dishes..picking up...noodling clues all the time...I don't have to stay up tonight for the clue!

I'm heading for the sheets.

Goodnight, SCDs and MCL!

That's why the Re-Hash Bash was started. I was just so depressed and sad. Wanted to cry in Chair-O-Key, nurse my wounds, and relive in my mind every wonderful minute o'The Hunt. Didn't want it to end, but keep going...

I'd really like to post over at Mom Press about The Re-Hash Bash, but I'm reluctant.

Allison, what are your feelings? I don't want to do it until I hear from you. Ittiz 'your' Lodge... And one never knows who will come and we *could* get some poop-disturbers...

I'm kind'a uneasy about posting it there at all. There's actually some protection in the park regarding liability, destruction, etc.

I think it's been mentioned already. And I don't think any troublemakers will really show up as they know they will be quite outnumbered. If they didn't make trouble at the PP or in the parks, I don't think it will be worth starting it now.

Although maybe it's better to do what others have done and refer them to coolercrew.com to get the address and such. Those who are really interested will take the extra step of clicking on the link.

I lurked a bit last year. But it seems that each year that goes by makes the PP board all the more hostile. I get enough hostility in daily life. The hunt is for fun, I could care less if I find it, as long as I'm in the right park at the end  The fun is noodling the clues and sharing noodles with others. There are those that love to hunt solo, but, to me this is a group participation sport.

I'm hoping to make it to the re-hash bash. It depends on how late my Saturday night show goes. Technically I'm done at midnight, but generally I go overtime if there are enough singers. I never know from day to day what's going to happen. I showed up one night on Thursday with the numbers from my previous Thu night shows ready to talk the manager into dropping Thu. Luckily he wasn't there that night and we posted a record night for attendance that night. lol

Knowing there is a dance tomorrow, Cooler Crew members are definately welcome tonight, if ya all can agree on a brand, I might even have to buy a pitcher or two if a few show up. (Rosemount American Legion. Address at: http://www.divertunes.com/shows.html ) (No, you don't have to sing.)

Great to know where there's some good Karaoke going on - thanks for the link!

My son and his friends used to go to Karaoke quite a bit and sometimes invite the parents along. The place they went to in Apple Valley has either stopped doing Karaoke or changed hosts, and they no longer go. Next time I'm in town I'll have to talk them into trying your show! They all live in Eagan and Rosemount, so it should be pretty close for everyone.

So the parade has been cancelled. Good call I guess.

Not that it matters a lot, but in the explanation of clues for this second hunt they changed the wording in clue one a little. It says "You'll get warm and smell AS sweet", where originally it was published as, "You'll get warm and smell PRETTY sweet".
