Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available.
Recent Clues:
Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes
To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched
Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey
Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet

SORRY...I COULDN'T HELP....
But lose the DRUMS? NEVER!
personally, I want to go back and see the footbridge, and then see what looked like a childrens footbridge to me at the east playground and differentiate. it was a very good clue though, because in my head I heard footbridge twice and it's only there once.
Today, with the clue in my hand.
We parked in that lot off of Dale because I thought it was going to send us in a direct line from the flag at the American Legion into something in the park.
:sheepish:
I'm not sure where exactly it was found, but I thought I read/heard that it was lined up with the playground bridge thing.
I told one of the finders I was glad they didn't say they found it 10 minutes before that last clue. Usually I would say "just show it" but in this case, all that fun planning out the race and the conference call would never had been as fun. She said they were somewhat afraid. I think its because there were so many people and it was dark out AND keep in mine all the aweful mean things they probably read on Twincities.com AND what if they heard about the damage done to that retaining wall and saw that fight at the entrance. I don't blame them this time around. I didn't personally see any violence but wow, did I hear about the boards and the fight and the damage by the police. I'm glad that the CoolerCrew got along for the most part and things ran smoothly for us BUT, in reality ... human nature was showing its bad side out there this year compared to the last few years. :frown: - I hope it doesn't get worse or continue next year- maybe the troublemakers will grow up.

I dont know how one of us didnt get it earlier...
I thought that I had hit every tree in that section, a couple of nights before it was found....

I haven't had a Joe all season!
You totally scored.
I still had no Joes.
As for the prize, there will be a registration process. If you'd like to be a registered hunter, it costs $10 to participate and then you can win $500. You can still hunt, even if you don't register, but then you would win just $100. You have until the 4th clue to register. If there is any money left over after the prize is paid out, I'll contribute it to the prize money of whoever does the next hunt. You can register at the Rehash Bash this Sunday. If you can't make that, I will be hosting a special comedy Hypnotist show at my Mason lodge (the same place the Rehash will be) on Saturday, February 17th. The tickets for that are $15. And then you will have another chance on March 1st when we meet at Fabulous Fern's in St. Paul at 7pm in the bar area to have the kickoff party for the hunt and the release of the first clue (which will be at 8pm that night instead of 6). If you can't make any of those and still want to participate, you can send the money to me via Paypal at this email, or send me an email and I'll give you an address to send a check to.
Again, you will be looking for a big blue plastic diamond that will be hidden on public property somewhere in St. Paul. It won't be underground, on a lake, stream or river, on top of a building, up in a tree, close to anything electrical, inside of anything you'd have to break to check, on the side of a steep hill, any of the places the Medallion hunt ruled out, or anywhere else that common sense might make you question if you should really be looking there.
Clues will be posted here, on the PP board, and on my Allison Wonderland Yahoo Group each day at 6pm until the treasure is found, up to the limit of 12 clues. If no one has found it 24 hours after the last clue has come out, I reserve the right to call you all a bunch of lame-o's, but the hunt will continue until it's found.
I believe that should cover everything, so good luck!
As far as the CW I had a few ideas that I thought fit even though CW didn't admit to them.
1) Over hill and Dale = must travel over Dale street which would elimate any part of the park before Dale , ie: saying travel to the west end of the park. This was assuming the CW was bringing us up 35E.
2) Wild and Tame = over and above the obvious of the wildlife center, the Lions Den shelter is Wild = Lion
Then the horse shoe pits = Horse = Tame
That was my thoughts
I'll be checking back throughout the year even though Brassmonkey might not.
Again Thank you Red Bear for the conference call it was a fantastic idea and it was done without a hitch. It was nice meeting everyone.
I'm sorry if I offended any one with my caps earlier, this is the only forum I have ever been on, and I didn't know better.
Have a great re=bash I'll be there in heart!
 :frown:       :ooh:  :sheepish: :worried: :asleep: :eyeroll:  :coolfrown: :lipsealed: :pbpt:  :goofy:
My reason was that Roseville's name before the suburb grew up and became Roseville, was named Rosetown. This was years ago when my Grandparents first lived there.
Rosetown grew up and became Roseville! CW doesn't admit to that but it does make perfect sense to me.

I will stop back soon.
P.S. Jesse (Med Hunter) did you recieve my E-gram?
all the more reason to not be home
They are all in town and staying at our house untill Sunday afternoon becuase it is my Wifes Birthday on Sunday the 4th.
you're forgiven. carry on with the wife's birthday.
Imagine how they would turn out if they were cocktail weenies to begin with
