There were nurses because it is such a small park, the nearby moms serve their time to help, this isn't done everywhere.

I think it is overdoing it to have nurses to watch over small parks. Were the hills covered with broken bottels or something?

I too remember that small park across from Mounds as a child. The nurses as a believe were from the old Mounds Park Hospital which was also across the street from the Indian burials.

I must confess, finally, for those that want a chance at finding that medallion, get your ass out of Mounds Park. Anything you think fits is wrong for Mounds - as much as Cherokee has been picked over it's still there (or they just haven't buried it yet). The three pyramids rise out of the snow, I would imagine it is more something in the backdrop rather than in the park itself. If "city streets" and "double division" and "you'll soon be back" don't cinch it for ya, then go home and give up, or become a Cherokee believer. Those are the three clues that make Cherokee the ONLY contender. So quit wandering to and fro find a place you can have a reasonable view of three pyramids, yet keep you close to the double division (annapolis) and the very southeast part of the park. Remember its always as far to the ground as you can go, under or in that last chunk of ice. And don't forget since my car is out of commission to drop by my house in highland park and pick me up along the way. Good Luck!

From what I can tell there isn't even a consensus on what park the darn thing is in. Where is the most activity centering?

Mabey they did.

Someone said Casey Park is across the street from Mounds Park. It's very small and not marked on the maps. I doubt it's there, but you never know.

Master j p what is the nurse thing

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 4:33 PM Permalink

How much longer do you think it is going to take before somebody finds the stupid thing?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 4:34 PM Permalink

PLUS, JUST TO BACK MY THEORY UP, THERE ARE MASSIVE GROUPS OF KIDS THAT LIVE AROUND THE AREA THAT GO SLEDDING THERE.

PLUS HAS ANYONE EVER THOUGHT THAT "A place where kids zoom" doesn't have to mean where kids sled. Nobody noticed the "Childs rd" right along Mounds which may include the double division. Childs rd is on the map, think about it.

Matthew, for the last time the nurses are at Casey Park

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 4:35 PM Permalink

Matthew: I'm no expert, but I think it's just north of Indian Mounds Park. North of Thorn Street and south of 94. Officially, however I don't think it's there.

I have a map from st.paul parks and recreation. It lists every single park, community center, recreation area and playground. Would you please give up the stupid absolutely outrageous ideas about a park called Casey, because it isn't even on my Damn map. Times a wastin I want to see someone in this cooler go find that medallion in Cherokee.

Duh!
