I bawl at a drop of a fricken hat for some reason.
You're not alone. I get that every so often now. No reason at all. I had to choke back tears the other day after a cheap shot during a hockey game. Who feels like crying during a hockey game? You are supposed to want to hit stuff after things like that, not be consoled!!!
But it can happen just the same if I see anything on the Special Olympics, or stuff like that. Maybe I am becoming bi-polar or something.
yah know, I do have to say though about my dads birthday...I noticed this was the sad thread...I wasnt sad about him yesterday. Technically because he isn't here any longer-it wasn't his birthday anymore. It woulda have been his birthday if he were here. He was a thought in the back of my mind. I didn't think about things we did, just the image of his face was there a couple of times in the day. Im not forgetting about him... time has healed.I just wasn't remembering him in a missing sad way is all.
Bucky knows his dads new home he seemed so at ease in the pics like he knew!!! glad the finely pulled there thumbs out of the butts and got it right for you brother!!! how are things long time no talk!!?!?!?!
I was in class so I didn't hear about it till just now. Thanks PM.

Fortunately, we contracted the glass cleaning out to CBS. Unfortunately for the guy who was apparently harnessed in. Big news downtown. They didn't move the guy until just a few minutes ago because OSHA had to inspect the scene first. The area is still blocked off
Thank you all for the very meaningful snowflake and poem. I had to stop many times just trying to read the poem. We were super touched to say the least. Man, am I blessed to have you people as friends.
Ali jumped up and down when she seen the Abominable slippers. She sends out a huge Christmas Thank You to you guys as well.
We hope you all have a nice day today. You've just made ours a bit more bearable.
I went to the mail box just now and found another very special present waiting for me. I didn't check the mail on Saturday or Monday with everything that was going on with the holidays but I wish to thank the Cooler Crew for the gift of love this holiday season. The poem and snowflake are precious.
Update on Dad... he has had 2 small strokes in the last few days but none that have done permanent damage (TIAs). He absolutely refused to be in the hospital for Christmas so they will do the tests to try to figure out what is going on on Friday.
My grandmother passed away yesterday afternoon. She was surrounded by family and did not suffer so that was a blessing. The notice will be in tomorrow's paper with a full obit on Friday. Her name is Marion Wolff.
smile because it happened.

Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called: The Present.

A girl on the street is pointing up at the sky.
'Look, an Angel!' she yells.
Passerby laugh, 'You fool, that is only a cloud.'
How wonderful it would be to see Angels
where there are only clouds. How sad it would be
to see clouds where there are Angels.

today would have been my dads 65th birthday.

they have the plaque in, finally - this time with the correct spelling...
when we walked over to the site where the plaque is, he layed down, and stretched out, right next to it....
I think he'll be coming out there with me, when I go from now on....
true..
I try to not let him do that, while we're there though
Bucky is a beautiful dog.
we think so too
although, i think bucky would much rather roll in the mud, and get dirty than have us consider him beautiful... :eyeroll:
he's fancied himself a new diggin hole in the backyard.... even getting Molly into the habit of doing it now, too....
we keep filling it up, they keep uncovering it...
ugh...
Clue, was this one of your guys?
I was in class so I didn't hear about it till just now. Thanks PM.

TO ALL:
Fidel Sanchez was the fellow service worker who fell to his death while performing his job at the IDS Tower this week.
He was not an ABM employee, yet many of our employees knew him, and two of our own witness this terrible accident.
We want you to know that we have reached out to our employees to provide any assistance needed with counseling, etc.
Fidel was a member of Local 26 and they informed us that they knew him to be a good man and a hard worker.
You may be interested to know that a memorial fund was set-up to receive donations to help the family of Fidel cope financially with this loss.
The fund is:
Fidel Sanchez Memorial Fund
c/o Central Bank
6640 Shady Oak Road
Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Donations can be mailed to the address above or be delivered in person to any Central Bank throughout the metro.
Another option we have made available is to give your donations to Sue Fennessy at our office front desk.
She will have an envelope ready to receive any donation your heart moves you to give.
Thereafter, we will forward these donations to Local 26, and they will forward these to the family of Fidel.
These moments certainly affords us time to reflect on those who are sorrowing due to loss, and to be grateful for the gift of life!
If you wish to do so, please pass along to anyone you feel that could help the Sanchez family.

And I pray their resting in a better place
I think of memories of years gone by
And sometimes Christmas makes me cry
I think of soldiers across the sea
Sometimes I wonder its them instead of me
For my freedom they give their lives
And sometimes Christmas makes me cry
Tears of thankfulness, tears of hope
I cry tears of joy at Christmas cause I know
There is peace on earth for every heart to find
And sometimes Christmas makes me cry
I think of families, I think of home
And say a prayer for those who spend this time alone
Cause love can reach out into a silent night
And thatÂ’s why Christmas makes me cry
Tears of thankfulness, tears of hope
I cry tears of joy at Christmas cause I know
There is peace on earth for every heart to find
And sometimes Christmas makes me cry
I think of Mary and the virgin birth
And IÂ’m amazed at how much God thinks weÂ’re worth
That He would send His only Son to die
And sometimes Christmas makes me cry
Tears of thankfulness, tears of hope
I cry tears of joy at Christmas cause I know
There is peace on earth for every heart to find
And sometimes Christmas makes me cry
