Starship Troopers (1997 - the 1st one) was about a bunch of kids that became soldiers and had to fight 6 ft high 'cockroaches' on another planet. It was okay for a Sci-fi shoot 'em up. Starred Jake Busey, Denise Richards (*woof*) and a few other 'star' caliber actors.

I don't remember it being hugely popular, but it must've been - they made something like three sequels, a video game and even a TV series since it came out.

Saw that one in theatres.... wish I hadnt...

No prob. Timing was perfect. They were taking it down just as I arrived. I even beat one news guy there. Although there were 4 or 5 other news stations covering the event as well. Lots of onlookers too.

Scary milestone today as far as gas prices go. I've been paying 3.99 for some time now for premium because, I assume that the stations didn't want to crack the $4 mark. Well it happened today. :coolfrown:

I siphoned my snowmobile gas into cans and emptied it along with some other cans I had around for the ATV's into my jeep. Probly saved 50% on my fill up.

Were leaving the ATV's home for the weekend because of the high prices of gas.

I was thinking I really should've gotten a large gas tank back when gas was around 2.90ish a gallon...

I drove around for weeks on my $2.99 fill-up. I filled up on Monday at $3.59 and that will at least get me to the lake and back this weekend. Maybe it will have come down a few cents after the holiday when I need to fill up again.

Time to grease the bike chain.

Hey, does anyone in town sell those windjammers for bicycles?

I mean those seriously big ones that make your ten-speed look like a crotch rocket. I heard you can get +10 mph faster just by lessening the wind resistance.

I would seriously consider biking to work, but I'm not a fan of biking on the streets, and there are no good trails between st. paul and columbia heights.

I just want to buy a golfcart and be able to drive it around town...

we went and chased that storm all the way to Prescott - they lost power there...

tons of hail in Stillwater... the hill into dowtown, from 36 looked like it had snowed...

ares was (is still?) doing some work on the site. finally getting a real content management system in place, so that anyone can dump a news item on the front page. evidently i had something a little out of place for a bit. ironically enough it was the .htaccess file that screwed things up in the directory. its fixed (and i added in a preview link :smile: )
