I'm gonna take a flying leap and guess it is some sort of Klingon Opera music from one of the Star Trek movies.

Please don't ask what movie, or where I came up with that answer. I truly don't know.

good guess, and it would fit the bill, but no.

here's a hint: the musical setting of the piece dates back to the mid '30s. the words themselves go back some 800 years.

I asked Drummer and Jen, who are visiting, to see if they could identify the music with that video. Then I left to go to the grocery store, and they listened while I was away. When I came home they told me it was O Fortuna - they performed it in a concert just a few months ago at UND - he played tympani and she sang with the chorus.

But KC got the answer posted by that time - congrats KC.

I just thought it was quite a coincidence. Although Drummer is a music major and might have recognized it anyway, really weird that they just performed this piece!

or when the two guys were all in with the same two cards vs each other (AK or AQ I think) the one guy was suited and the other not. the unsuited guy said he was a favorite because he had 2 flush draws vs the one. of course he was kidding, it was one of the better pros.

Whitewater Park Calendar

I was kinda surprised to learn that Valleyfair closes the water park a week before Labor Day Weekend - even though Labor Day is Sept 1st! You'd think they could bribe a couple high school kids to stick around and Lifeguard that weekend before school starts.

This is pretty amazing....Makes me wonder what it's doing to our brains!!
