diggindude, i thought that too. and nearly had myself convinced that this was the single clue that pointed to hidden falls. then i remembered that shepard road was what i was thinking was east river road, and east river road was what i thought was west river road. west river road, unfortunately, is across the river, in minneapolis.
Hi all. Lets see, went to Crosby, HF, West Minne, whizzed by highland. Iris. Prosperity. I'm checking out Harriet tomarrow. My sense tells me that it's probably not in Iris or crosby but i havent ruled out any others. DD i'll have to try the onion rings :-)
Oh and i'll check out Valley. I have a feeling this is going to be a long hunt this year. Yeah!! (She's mad, MAD i tell you.....)
Hey Gang - This is my first post this year. Last year was dissapointing...so what's the latest gossip? Hidden Falls, Capitol Grounds... Of course I am sure that I can come up with some obscure references to my beloved Phalen once again this year!
Jill, we met at Cherokee on the Saturday morning by the chain link fence. Talked over the clues and decided we were right to be there. So far the clues fit (for me) the capitol and Hidden Falls. Dave, what's your thoughts on things?
Not only are there round tables, each table is encircled by seats, each of which is also a circle, and the tables are arranged in a circle, and if you standing there, thinking circularly, the playground area, where you might be smiling, is out of view.
Hi, Goldenboy. I was wondering where you were this year. I called you on the cell phone when it was at Conway and met you and your friends there. Husband was telling me to quit flirting.
D.D. about the fast food thing... mcdonalds frenchfry package on the back has the olympic logo.. gold circles linked together but even if that was right on what its in really doesn't matter
the treasure is likely up high - where you have to "stay on your toes" and the treasure "lies out of view"? Maybe in a tree or play structure....I don't think we'll be shovelin snow this year!
BTW --Allison--Jake and Scribe are handling paper duties tonight--I am turning in early--tough work day! Last night it came out at 11:40--so much for the early advantage. Kind of disappointing. I will return to paper tomorrow--gotta win plane tickets. That way my 10K will go even further in Jamaica.
stud, we've got a couple of alleged vampires on this board. and i haven't heard from the other one yet. just so ya know, scribe, i didn't bring it up this time, but i'm certainly willing to finish it.
GB, not yet only over maps and clues. Will definitely be out on Saturday. DD, what are your reasons for Iris if you don't mind sharing? The Knox Lumber as is Fort Knox is good but am not sure of anything else. Is Porky's drive-in open and is it good eating?
At the request of my faithless companions this evening we checked out Iris as well, but didn't get the feeling it was there. Although one friend did come up with the clever idea of circular thinking being checkers (there are tables there with built in checkerboards).
Porky's is open and good eating, if you are like me and think that the four food groups are sugar, salt, grease, and coffee! The rest of the convincing was given to me by Allison--I can't claim them as my own, but he's got some good ones, and I will let him claim them as his "intellectual property"
I mentioned before that "one proper place" reminds me of the ice castle, the granddaddy of 'em all, was at Phalen. "East" perhaps, directs us to the East side of St. Paul
DD, add salt to that list and I'm a customer for sure. I always like checking out new places to eat. Thanks for the info. I agree with Allison being very clever with his ideas and he's usually on the target.
Reasons for Iris? Well East Lynnehurst and West Lynnehurst are big ones. And it a place its never been hidden in before. I'd say the case for Valley is much stronger though.
Hello Everyone, This is TheRock4927 from last year, aka Rob. Hows everyone doin? Wow i see Allison is back for another year as well as GoldenBoy wow and Downtown Dave. Welcome back to another season. Heres my take on the clues so far, in one of the clues it said something about being out of sight, well why not Hidden, as in hidden falls, which is by the airport, which if i believe connects st paul and minneapolis together. Which brings me to clue 3 where it says Circular.....Linking. Well if you take the C in the first line and cirlcle it down to the bottom its spells city as in Linking cities.
Well, maybe it wouldn't be in one of our pockets. Yet I still say THIS IS OUR YEAR. But I'm also a Vikes fan so I'm used to this as well.

A mcdonalds cup or a wal-mart bag that would weather well.

Could be TD--I appreciate any original thoughts--Ares--I come up with two conclusions with the City Truck--
1. this guy was there to "feel things out"
2. Norm needs to give this guy more to do.

what time did you see the truck, dave?
There are 5 round tables at Valley Rec, "Circular thinking"?
I bet it's in one of those uprooted trees on the bank of HF... they look all tangled up
Not only are there round tables, each table is encircled by seats, each of which is also a circle, and the tables are arranged in a circle, and if you standing there, thinking circularly, the playground area, where you might be smiling, is out of view.
Ares--He passed by PP many many times between 10:50 and 11:40 when the paper came out, and he stopped me on fourth on my way home
TD--I like Iris, but I tend to like parks that I can hunt on my lunch hour, and lunch is Porky's onion rings.
Ares - It is East River Road, but I think the West could refer to West 7th st. which intersects it at the entrance.
Can someone tell me where "Valley Rec Center" is?
Yep i remember td

D.D. about the fast food thing... mcdonalds frenchfry package on the back has the olympic logo.. gold circles linked together but even if that was right on what its in really doesn't matter
which makes me wonder. what is someone doing driving around in a city truck at 1100 at night?
I went by Newell and there were tons of diggers! So I thought to myself - why not back to back years? What do you all think?
Allison Wonderland, I am a member of your club!
Maybe it's in the Oval Office- that put a smile on Clinton's face!!- Sorry I just can't think straight anymore
the treasure is likely up high - where you have to "stay on your toes" and the treasure "lies out of view"? Maybe in a tree or play structure....I don't think we'll be shovelin snow this year!
Stud--it matters only that if it is, we will remember post 14405, and you can be a water cooler god.
never even thought of west 7th, cm. i'm thinking of driving down to hidden tomorrow at lunch if anything decent comes out at midnite.
Valley Rec Center is on Jackson and University, sort of behind the Capitol and off to the right.
there can only be one of those and they say he's a vampire
Hey Treasure Digger! - Of course I remember you. Have you been out carousing yet this year...for the treasure I mean.
Hi Regg Mann. Hope you like the club! I may do another mock (virtual) hunt after this one is over for the club members.
Ares - To answer your question about what a city truck driver is doing out at 11:00 at night... same as 11:00 during the day, NOTHING! :)

Why are people considering Newell? Do some people know something we don't know?
People say NP every year - counting me.
The feeling I was getting from people was "duel" years at Newell
lol cm.

Good and oipen Treasure Digger

Crap face it is right on E 5th street in st paul off of white bear ave.
I mentioned before that "one proper place" reminds me of the ice castle, the granddaddy of 'em all, was at Phalen. "East" perhaps, directs us to the East side of St. Paul
Where are you guys goin to dig tomorrow, I will know when the 5th comes!
But valley is at a school......would they have people searching outside a school in session?
I am really into the east side of st paul thing myself just what I feel I may be wrong
Did you check out the little park oh lynhurst??? DD
DD, add salt to that list and I'm a customer for sure. I always like checking out new places to eat. Thanks for the info. I agree with Allison being very clever with his ideas and he's usually on the target.
Allison doesn't get intellectual property for Iris. :)
