Heres my take on the clues so far, in one of the clues it said something about being out of sight, well why not Hidden, as in hidden falls, which is by the airport, which if i believe connects st paul and minneapolis together. Which brings me to clue 3 where it says Circular.....Linking. Well if you take the C in the first line and cirlcle it down to the bottom its spells city as in Linking cities.
Right Allison...I went there today and thought "they aren't gonna want a bunch of strangers mingling with the kids at recess......so I kinda ruled it out.
Yummy Carmel Macciatos' !!! Makes for a cold hunt to be a little warmer. I have to ask something, Is this frog pond thing a place where the 'regs" send people who really dont know better? I would 'steer clear' of that one :)

And the Hidden Falls I like that idea...about the city links..Allisonwondrland...what do you think about that one?!
dave, britannica didn't say when they bloom, but here's something i freely stole from them "Irises are either bulbous or rhizomatous (with thick, creeping underground stems) and have six petallike floral segments, the more erect inner ones called standards and the usually drooping outer ones called falls." hmm. six. there's been quite a bit of speculation about that number here before.
out of view may also be a reference to this as the colored portion of eyes are called irises. can you tell i'm stretching here?
valley is right by a school, and school gets out in June, the same time you'd supposedly be getting done huntin. kind of a stretch, but I think its a stretch to use June as a clue at all. But for other stretches, you can see the gold statues of the capitol, the 1st bank sign, and there is lots of fencing (duels). There are much better reasons for valley than that though.
Allison - I think this year we won't be diggin snow. Because of the references to "keep on your toes" (#1) and treasure that "lies out of view". This would make sense since we had so much snow so early in the season. My advice - leave the shovel at home.
I keep thinking 'June' maybe something to do with it is a very popular time of the year to get married. It also is the 6th month. Don't mind me, I just am putting down my thoughts as they come across my mind

If it is Valley, I don't think the hunt will go past the weekend. On the other hand, digging out there will be rather tough with all that packed snow.

Valley was bigger than I thought it would be, but not huge. Can you imagine if you have to look in every tree at the winning park.

Valley doesn't seem that big until you contemplate digging it and then its this vast expanse. Not broken up into sections like Newell or Conway.
