first, i got rid of the captcha challenge for posting. the forums require a login to access and accounts have to be created manually at the moment. verifying you're not a robot isn't necessary right now. in the future it might be. we'll see.
second i changed the style of the comments to not be threaded. you'll still see what post a comment is a reply to, up in the header of the comment but they don't end up indented.
to me2, on the subject of not being able to delete comments that you made over in shoot the breeze, one of the limitations of the comment system here is that if you delete a comment, it deletes all of the replies to it, and all of the replies to those, etc. the alternative right now is that we don't see what's a reply to what (although we also don't see that within the comment being replied to either). its a trade-off that we'll have to figure out what the best way to handle it is until i can get some tweaking done with the underlying code for the forum.
just so that everyone knows, the stuff is in place to have stars along with comments. however, some of the behind the scenes stuff means that it takes 7-10 seconds to generate a page full of comments with them visible, versus less than a half second without them visible. so for the moment, that feature is disabled. i have an idea on how to improve the performance, but have other priorities before i implement it. and the methods may change when i upgrade the major software behind the site.
One logged in you should almost always stay logged in. The only thing I can think of is if you're inadvertently bouncing between the https and non https version of the site. I just enabled the automatic redirect to the https version so that shouldn't be an issue going forward once you get logged in but if it continues to be aproblem let me know.
I was never able to see the scrambled clue on the Pioneer Press site. My sister in CA was able to just briefly and then it shut her out. She took a screen shot and sent it to me. Weird.
Are people posting on these boards? From what I can see there are only two threads that have been active this year, and I use the word “active” loosely. Am I missing something? I know there were some people who asked for assistance in getting into this area of coolercrew.com. Where are y’all? Did everyone decide Facebook works OK after all?
Just testing something out here
This is only a test

Hi Eags
Hi Eags I just found out that this site is up and running it's chat feature too. Nice job Jase! It'll take some time for it to get around.
